    LOVE this lens!

Posted by Lacey Miller on 17th May 2024

I debated whether to get this or the high end Canon equivalent. I was able to test the Canon at the same time I purchased this lens and I have to say, for a lens that is significantly cheaper, I feel I am getting better shots with this lens. The bokeh is amazing when shooting wide open. Beyond that, it is quick to focus, virtually silent and creates sharp, crisp images. I could not be happier with my purchase. If you are personally debating whether to get this lens or the Canon, I don't think you would be disappointed with this. Oh, here's another thing, Sigma offers a four year warranty for their lenses AND if you call them, you get to talk to someone quickly. They are a family based business and I find their level of customer service far superior to that of Canon's.

    One of my favorite lens!

Happy with this purchase. Tack-sharp, and I love the bokeh. I use it for indoor portraiture mostly, with my R5 (w/ adapter). I use it for outdoors too. It’s not a light lens, but because of what it can do, I don’t mind the weight. Thankful that Bestbuy carry it. I trust their products and customer service.

The 50mm Sigma Art is a great lens. Images are crisp and brokeh smooth. The focal length is perfect paired with full frame camera body. Highly recommend.

    Awesome PRO lens

It's cheaper than a Canon 1.2 and better than their 1.4. I really like the Sigma Art lenses for being super sharp and having good color, but like 30% off compared to Canon or Nikon. If I ever need another 50mm, this is what I'll buy again.

Great option for a cheaper, high quality lens!

Sigma has never disappointed me and it isn't going to start now. I have heard some mixed reviews on Sigma lenses, but I personally have never had any issues and I won't back down until it personally goes wrong for me. I love this lens!

    It’s a great lens!

Definitely recommend! Top quality photos! I got this as a gift for my husband who was looking at the canon 50 mm lens...this saved a little bit of money...and while it’s a little bigger than canon the reviews I line show the sigma being superior. We’re really happy with it!

    Buyer Beware!!!

Posted by Ashley Jones on 11th Apr 2024

Be aware, Sigma does not seem to be made to last. I have only had this lens a little over a year and it is already slipping in focus quiet a bit. I baby this lens and it stays mainly in my studio for adult portraits. I love this lens, but do not like the fact that it is already loosing focus consistently
