    Little Shark Cleaner

Posted by Courtney Moreno on 23rd May 2024

Little Shark this is a portable mean cleaning machine. I don't own any other carpet cleaner i was looking into getting one and this has the best review. This is light wieght small so you can take this and use it anywhere. This has a lot of sucking power and a good spray on it. This box comes with 2 cleaning products one you disolve in the water tank and the other you use in the dry tank for a deeper clean. This also has to attchment handles 1 is for a pet cleaner to get the nasty leaving from your pet and the other is Bristle tool. Now thats the one i used i have cushoin dinning room chairs light brown we get them professionally cleaned. I also used it on my kitchen rugs that can't be machine washed. I really like hoe it brought back the blue in the rugs. They stayed a little more wet but thats because i used a lot more cleaner and scrubbed them a lot longer just to get that deep clean. This worked so great that i will keep doing this myself it removed the stains that i tryed using a stain remover alone it pulled it right out. You think that they would stay wet for a long time but the shark pulled all the water out i was left with a damp seat put put them in front of the fan and in 10min they were dry. I also used this on the carpet for high traffic area and it pulled out some of the dirt not as much as it did on the chairs i don't think i scrubbed long enough. i do some car detailing and i have used it it did make a difference in the color and the smell. I didn't put in pictures of the car because the carpet was black so you would see the full results. Overall this has been a great pick up it has paided for itself just by cleaning the chairs and kitchen rugs brought them back to the color.

    Space Saving Cleaner

Loving the size of this rug and upholstery cleaner. I’ve used a standard upright unit in the past, and I’ve never had room to store it so it would sit in and get lost in the garage. It was also very heavy and bulky to move up and down stairs, especially when filled with water. I disliked that it was more so for larger cleaning, and didn’t have furniture/upholstery attachments. It would take forever for those areas to dry because it would use a lot more water than was needed for smaller spots, and it was better for taking the entire rug outdoors to clean and not really for smaller messes. This is where this smaller but mighty machine chimes in. It’s fabulous for those smaller messes. We have two kids, and if you have children, you know there’s always a spill or mess around the corner. This has helped to clean those smaller messes, without the hassle. I’m able to carry this around much easier. Move from one spot to the next with ease. It uses much less water because it’s easier to control the amount used. Easy to store, takes up a much smaller footprint. Its size is perfect and even if I leave it out, it’s so compact you barely notice it. The plug is long, and also easy to store. It comes with two heads. The solutions worked great in conjunction with each other. Ok so what’s the downside? Well yes, it’s much smaller and uses less water for smaller stains and spills and dried on messes. But it also requires you to fill the water tank to its H2O fill line and add some solution to get to its final fill line. Why is that a problem? Well, if I only have one or just a couple very small areas to clean, I’m left with an entire tank of water bc it barely puts a dent in the clean water tank. So now I have a tank of water mixed with solution sitting around not being used. I don’t want to store it with a full tank, but I’m also not going to dump and waste the water solution. I like using hot water to clean so by the time another spill is present the water is cold or just sitting there. I do wish that they had several lines along the tank for when you just need enough water and solution for a quick clean and it not be necessary to fill the entire tank. I’ve cleaned several spots that’s been in a couple rugs and dining chairs for weeks if not months and I’ve barely gone pass the fill lines. I do wish it had a steam option, but it cleans so well that you’ll rarely even think about the lack of steam. And to be honest it probably isn’t needed at all. Overall it’s been a lovely addition to our cleaning arsenal, and I recommend.

    Perfect For Small Jobs

It’s a great little stain vacuum and super convenient. It is definitely useful for quick cleanups and old soiled carpet. If thinking more for automotive and frequent usage, I would look for a more dedicated product for two reasons: 1) the design of the wand attachment 2) the collecting bin size The water tank to the concentrate line holds 26oz. However, the collecting bin is only about 10oz. That compartment houses the float for the auto shutoff and that takes up quite a bit of space, so it fills up a lot quicker. I was still able to clean about 5 stains before it filled up. The picture shows how much is used until it hits the shut-off. The wand attachment…this is a two-fold issue as the 7” Tool (not sure where they get that measurement from) snaps on to the handle, but also has the clear piece on the top where the liquid is extracted, it is removable. This is nice for cleaning the tool, but during use it wants to snap off, so you have to apply extra pressure on top of the tool when pushing into the fabric being cleaned. This is also needed as the tool wants to pop off at the attach point to the wand. You have to push down pretty good to get the proper extraction or you will leave too much liquid in the carpet/upholstery. My two test use cases were recently dried wall paint in carpet and in my vehicle. For the vehicle less than 24 hours old DollyWood Sweet Bread oil/sugar grease in the vehicle upholstery and then some mystery stain on passenger seat at shoulder for more than 2 years (failed to get before pic on this one) Dried Paint in Carpet = barely fail Vehicle Oil/Sugar grease =barely fail Vehicle Mystery Stain = WIN! I used both included solutions to clean in all of the tests. Both of the barely fails really just need a more powerful scrubber and maybe even less dilution of the cleaning concentrate and actual powered brush and I figured this would be the case. But it did clean some of it, so that is why it wasn’t a total fail. The included rubber attachment scrubber while nice is best for simply cleaning that has not yet had the opportunity to dry or stain yet. I did not use the scrubber on the mystery stain as I could see that just wetting the affected areas already began to dilute whatever the stain was. I am definitely satisfied with the product, but if you are thinking of auto-detailing on a consistent basis and more than your household fleet, I would look for a more dedicated product. The included pet attachment for collecting “liquids” that come out of them I have not had the opportunity (thankfully) to use yet. The only issue I see with this is like most devices that come with a good amount of accessories, is where to store it? The vaccum itself is not very big, but there is not a place on the device to attach the Pet Attachment or the hose cleaning attachment, which you definitely don’t want to use as it makes cleaning the vacuum hose very easy. The hose storage is also quite tight. My guess is the same instrument they used to measure the 7” Tool was used to measure the circumference of the device and/or the length of the vacuum hose, as it is about 3in too short and makes sliding the Wand Tool on to the latch when storing away very tight. There are definitely a few things I think version 2.0 could improve on, but as-is it will definitely get the job done based off the Info-mercial of a box and its claims. I can definitely recommend it and I definitely plan on using it to now clean the spilled Dr.P in my truck as well as finishing the DollyWood gooey sauce. I did dock a couple stars for the issues with the wand attachments, short hose/design, and the collecting tank being so small.

    10 out of 10 recommend

I purchased this item to clean my dining room chairs and spot clean my area rugs in my home and it restored my items back to new. I love that this item is compact and easy to use. The suction is super strong so my items were dry in no time. Would 10 out of 10 recommend.

OK portable unit with a suction design problem

Posted by Linda Wallace on 29th Apr 2024

I'll give Shark credit where credit is due. It's not easy to make a portable vacuum shampoo system that is also user friendly and light weight. In this regard, Shark did a good job. The vacuum is pretty easy to snap the few connections together and the tanks you need to fill have good disconnects on them that don't leak more than a drop or two. When using the unit, you'll find that the biggest handle, which you'll use the most often, gives step by step instructions on how to spray, scrub, and remove the water. So far this is easy as the sprayer has good pressure and the rubber scrubbing fingers really do well to loosen up hair, fibers, and other gunk in the carpet. However, the suction part has a lot to be desire. The suction pieces all have 2 big flaws. Flaw one is that the opening on the floor is not flat. This means that no matter how you place the handle on the floor, you'll never get complete suction power. The other is that the clear plastic snap on piece has no real seal to the handle. It's plastic on plastic, with no gasket, so the vacuum will take the path of least resistance and start sucking air from the top of the plastic. I'm hoping Shark fixes this with a design revision as I really love the cleanable filter cartridge which catches hair and large particles. I also wish this unit had a water heating option. It would have added more weight, but as this unit is corded, the power draw would have been manageable and warmed water would help with stubborn pet stains. All in all, while I find this unit usable, their are other units out there that will likely serve your needs better in the same price range.
