Great Performance + Efficiency But Poor Price
I got this card at around $1000 before tax using code q4fy23save10. The $55 in rewards for using a BB credit card. And I had some reward points from previous purchases as well. This card is actually really good and gets very good performance and overclocks easy to 3ghz. I get about 10-15fps more after overclocking. Even after this overclock the card doesnt go above 350w in 3DMark and is usually around 330w when gaming. Thats amazing efficiency considering my previous evga 3090ti was putting out over 450w for much less performance and was basically a space heater. On the topic of heat. I have never had this card go over 67 degrees and thats playing darktide with ray tracing and all that. Usually it sits around 64-65 degrees and fans never ramp up. Infact i can hear the cpu fan more than the 4080 fans. Some negatives about the card however is that it does have coil whine which is pretty loud at first but does settle down. Ans also the price is still pretty high even after all my discounts. I would also say the size of the card is a negative as well but considering im getting such good thermal performance and the fact that the cooler is literally built like a solid piece of metal i can’t complain. Yes its overpriced but if you can afford it but don’t want to pay for a 4090 than its a really good card.

Amazing Card, but Overpriced
Amazing Card even tho its very overpriced. I upgraded from a GTX 1070 to this card, and this card blows it out of the water. It runs cool and is considerably power efficient. Fits in my Fractal Design Pop Air Case.

Amazing GPU subpar MSRP
Love this GPU for its aesthetics and super efficient cooler. Runs cool and quiet. Paired with a 5900x (most likely bottlenecking this GPU but *shrugs*). Only gripe is the price - should be priced under $1k. Amazing GPU nonetheless!

Plenty powerful for 4K 120hz
My goal was to build a PC for 4K gaming at 120FPS for my LG C2 OLED display. At first I considered getting the RTX 4090, but I figured it would be overkill. I decided to save $400 and get the RTX4080, and wow.. this thing does not disappoint. The Founder's Edition is super clean, and best of all it has a shorter cooler than the third-party cards. I believe it comes in at 304mm long, which worked well in my Fractal-Design North case with a front-mount AIO. I get that this card has a lot of hate behind it at this price point, but every card is overpriced right now, and this card eats up any game I throw at it, so I can't really complain. Cyberpunk 2077 in Overdrive mode runs great at 60FPS with FG and DLSS Balanced mode. And I can always scale down to push native 4k 120fps, but overdrive is like candy. Everything else either hits 120fps in native 4K, or hits 120fps with help from DLSS Quality/Balanced and FG when needed. Would buy again.

4080
The only thing stopping this from getting 5 stars is the price tag. $1,199 is hardly affordable, so it feels like anyone even looking at the RTX 4080 should probably just save up the additional $400 for the RTX 4090 and go for broke — or melted…. I’ve purchased 2 and one of them had to be RMO’d due to connector issues it didn’t not melt but the pins wouldn’t seat correctly. That being said, it still is a great card that can handle most anything thrown at it, and do it quietly.

Get it, if you can afford it
This graphics card is very expensive but I am seeing amazing frame rates and beautiful ray tracing in a lot of my PC games. I think the founders edition is the best looking version.

Power efficient and good cooling.
Despite the price I got this. I was actually waiting for the Noctua version but it's almost the same price as the 4090! Comes in a dedicated and sealed shipping box. No way it could be tampered with without that seal being broken. That box was shipped direct from the factory to a ware house then shipped to a BestBuy store that you pickup from. In that box will be a heavy duty and pristine 4080 box. I went with the 4080 because I also do a lot of AI work and needed the 16GB of VRAM. My 4080 fans don't even go on when playing Overwatch 2 at 1440p at max settings. Ambient temp is 22C and card is at 41C. Core i7-10700 System with 2 27" 1440p monitors pull 250watts per my UPS when on Overwatch 2 at max settings. Then again I set my 4 case fans at max when gaming. If the ambient temp is low enough I can keep the fans at low. My pictures show it with a EZDIY-FAB 12VHPWR 12+4 Pin Angle Connector Power Adapter (the reverse version) and it hovers over the heatsinks and gives good clearance. RE: GPU sag Since the FE is a shorter card than 3 fan cards I didn't notice any noticeable sag but I put a cheap bracket and support just in case. Who couldn't use a little support?

I’m Mostly Pleased
A powerful card with great efficiency to boot. Targeting 1440p or 4K Ultra is no problem for the 4080. The Founder’s Edition cards have always had a sleek, dynamic look and are right at home in minimalist builds. Fits like a glove in my Formd T1 at 10L. My only gripe is it’s MSRP, quite the increase from last gen’s... Unless you have specific needs that cater to you with purchasing an Nvidia graphics card, vote with your needs and wallet.

Smooth and quiet with zero coil whine.
Runs everything smooth and quiet on high settings. I usually play at 1440p at 144hz and this 4080 does not drop any frames paired with my Intel 13th gen CPU. I wasn’t going to buy a 4k monitor because they are so expensive so thats why I went with the 4080 over the 4090. The 4080 can run games at 4k at 120fps like Modern Warfare 3 no problem, games like Starfield and Alan Wake 2 can run 4k at 60fps but I prefer to go with 1440p and it easily gets over 100fps. Also I do not have any coil whine like other brands.
