Best upgrade so far for my a PC build
Very satisfied with this GPU. Yes it is pretty expensive and if you have the money obviously might as well just get the 4090 but I could barely afford this as is. So going for the 40 90 just wasn't realistic for me. But with that being said, I get really good performance on this card and I run everything at 4k max settings. I'm very satisfied and I haven't had any issues with VRAM or anything so far. Very happy with this purchase and I absolutely love the founders edition models

Great! Price could be better...
I recently picked this up not too kong ago. It expectedly blew my mind when I did some benchmarms and tried some games, but I do also feel once in a whike NVIDIA should cut down on these prices because they're just getting absurd. Temps are great for a 4080 and a vertically mounted one at that, with a startup of 28?C and when I'm playing games on the highest settings even possible I still only get around 36?C. Overall great GPU but just consider if yoh really need all the power before picking one of these up. Build specs if any of you are curious: Intel i7-13700k CPU 64GB G.SKILL Trident Z Ram at DDR5 980 PRO x2 (2tb) SSD F120 RGB DUO Fans H9 Elite Case GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS ELITE AX Motherboard Corsaid RM1000x PSU Kraken 360 Elite (I bought the Non-RGB version and replaced the fans with F120 RGB DUOs)

Loving it
I loving it, definetly one of the best cards out there, i did not wanted to soend almost 2k for a 4090 , 4080 can handle almost every game at 4k max settings ocer 70fps for open world games, for first person games i havent seen one under 100fps, temperatures are great and i love the founders edition design over any aftermarket brand

Amazing but Pricy
The card is an absolute beast, everything I throw at it, this GPU has 0 trouble running it. I’ve paired this with an Alienware AW3423DWF and pretty much all of my games run at the maximum refresh rate of that monitor with high to ultra settings with Ray Tracing on high to ultra as well. This thing is no joke but at $1200 it’s hard to recommend, even knowing that this thing is a beast I just can’t justify the price. This should be a $900-$1000 card. This is definitely for enthusiasts and people that are going to be using RT constantly. So for someone who is looking for very high performance but doesn’t care about RT, this card is NOT for you. If you love RT and are a huge fan of reference cards like me, then buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

Big Card Big Price
The card is enormous, heavy, and power hungry. I have it paired with a 13700k and I think my 850 watt power supply is the bare minimum to keep those two fed. Also, it comes with an adapter but make sure your power supply has three 8 pin PCIe connectors or a Gen 5 connector. Also, in regards to its weight, probably either mount it vertically if your case allows or get something to prevent sag. The blower style fans are pretty quiet and keep the card cool in my Lian Li Lancool 216. Performance over my EVGA 3080 (RIP EVGA) is significant in both games and video rendering. The biggest con is the price. I needed a second machine with some guts to it but I probably could have compromised. By buying it, I'm validating NVIDIA's bonkers new pricing scheme. Hopefully extra competition will knock some sense into them.

Expensive but impressive upgrade
Wasn't my intent to upgrade this generation, but I purchased an ultrawide 1440p monitor and my 3080 10GB was getting pushed to it's limits or in some cases just crashing wth more intensive games. I wasn't expecting such a performance bump with the 4080, but I'm getting over 40-50% FPS consistently. While gaming it also runs almost 20 degrees cooler than my 3080, while drawing less power. It's an impressive card, and it's more of generational leap than the 20 series was to the 30 series. The card is also gigantic, so make sure you have the case to fit it. I'm also using a CableMod 12vhpwr cable, instead of the octopus adapter that's included. I agree with everyone when the price is pretty stupid, and this generation of cards is alienating PC gamers and making the hobby less accessible. The only redeeming thing was I was able to get 10% off the 4080, and sell my 3080 for a bit over $600 to make the price a little easier to stomach. I would not have minded getting a 4090, but I decided to save $400+ and whatever the cost of a new power supply would be. The 4090 FE seemingly does not exist either, and I would not be surprised if Nvidia is withholding 4090 stock to push 4080 sales.

Good Card, but…
Just like the 30 series FE design this 4080 is sleek and neutral and will fit most colored builds. Cooler is way more than necessary and runs well floating from 50-70C dependent on the game. 16 gigs of VRAM is sufficient enough for demanding VRAM titles like RE4 Remake. Performance per Watt is solid. I’d like to note, that I would not have took a shot at this card we’re it not for the discounts and coupons I used to get $300 beneath it’s MSRP. It’s a solid card, but not worth the 1.2K mark up that NVIDIA has imposed on this product. My advice: if you currently own a 30 series, an AMD equivalent (6000 series), or 2080TI don’t upgrade, Ada architecture is great, but not worth the price premium much like how the 10 to 20 series was questionable, it’s the same deal for 30 to 40 series. Skip this generation if you are still happy with your gpu. If you only care about rasterization performance, I recommend the 7900xtx from AMD which trades blows, for a fraction of this cards price.

Best part of my PC
This card is beautiful and meets my gaming needs. I always wanted the Founder’s Edition when I built my PC and I’m glad i went with this one. Just a side note, this is by far one of the best unboxing experiences I’ve had, you know it’s a quality product when you open this bad boy up. So happy with the 4080 FE. Ray Tracing is awesome too. Price is high but worth in my opinion.

Great GPU, not as great a value
Quiet, cool, and performs great at 4K. Just wish that it was more affordable
