    Best Purchase Ever

Deliver exactly as stated, Packages in original box, not damage. Works like a charm. Perfect size for any cook. Powerful enough to mix a double batch of oatmeal cookie dough. shreds a whole head of cabbage in not time. I just have one stupid con: soft cheese (Mozzarella) in this is a bad idea. Hard cheese only.

Loving my new Ninja food processor. My last one was several years old and I was looking for an upgraded replacement. This is IT!! This little machine is very powerful and has several preprogrammed options. Love it!! Highly recomment.

Running Out Of Counter Space :)

Posted by Jennifer Lopez on 14th May 2024

When they said XL they weren’t joking. I’ve always wanted a good food processor and this meets and exceeds my expectations by a long shot. This unit can barely fit under my cabinets so don’t try it because it has some of the worlds strongest suction cups known to mankind and you will break your hands or the top of the unit trying to pull it from under there lol. So be careful. But that’s a great thing because as powerful as the unit is, it needs those suction cups to keep it stable. It doesn’t wobble or shake. Surprisingly it’s not too heavy. It comes with a storage container that also holds the multiple blades and parts. You can store the pamphlets and recipe idea book that come with it. It chops, slices and dices very well and evenly. It does it with speed and accuracy. I was left with pieces I feel could have been shredded or sliced more. But they weren’t large pieces and it typically was the end of the fruit or veg, so I’m ok with that. I haven’t made dough with it so I can’t attest to their claims as far as how quickly it mixes the dough. For some larger fruits and veggies you’ll have to cut off the sides or just make it small enough to fit in largest chute. It’s also not as loud as I expected. I feel like there could’ve been room for an upgraded look. The buttons seem and sound very clunky and old appearing. IMO it’s very rudimentary and cheapens it a bit. If you wear glasses don’t worry, you’re in luck, you’ll see the buttons. It doesn’t fit in with other modern appliances in that aspect but its not a fashion contest and it’s about how it gets the job done. Which it does fantastically. The entire unit is plastic but it’s BPA free, which makes me feel a tiny bit better. I wish there were multiple orientations in which the bowl would securely lock into place. You’ll know because once the unit is on the lights will flash and it will not operate until it’s in the correct location. The unit is already large so the separate storage box is a bit bulky and takes up more space no matter where you store it but I’m glad that it also safely stores the sharp blade attachments. I do wish that it came with a spot for the chopping blade to safely rest if not in use. If you aren’t using that blade it just sits out until you’re ready to put away the unit, which could be an issue for fast little fingers. It’s super easy to clean using a dishwasher. Which is one of my fave parts about this. Everything can be washed at once and then stored. If you have the space I say go with this one, you’ll be glad you did.

    Another great Ninja product

In the box you get the motor, 12 cup blending cup, 1 adjustable thickness slicing blade, one shredding blade, one dough blade and one very sharp puree blade (It is really sharp....). This also comes with a storage case for all but the really sharp blade, but that one can be stored inside the unit when not in use. It would have been really nice if they could have incorporated the storage case to hold the sharp blade when not in use. I have found this to be best when making larger amounts of food. If you cook very small batches I would recommend a smaller unit, however if you are cooking for a crew...this is your unit. It has tackled everything I have thrown at it, carrots, sweet potatoes, cabbage and it makes salsa in a snap... I mixed some chocolate chip cookie dough and although I do think my mixer does a better job, this handled it with ease. I whipped up some creamy pesto sauce in nothing flat. There are two motor settings, pulse and four pre-set functions for just about anything you could want to do. A couple of things to note, the unit shakes when using the slicing and shredding blades, however it does have suction cup feet so it stays put. No experience with other units but I would imagine the power of the motor on any other unit would have the same results. There are plenty of safety features in place so the unit will no run in a condition where you would be able to be hurt. Clean up was easy, I rinsed the parts, top rack of the dishwasher and done. I reccommnend the Ninja Professional XL Food Processor as a worthy kitchen gadget...

Great food processor. Just one issue....

Posted by Brittany Dennis on 6th May 2024

I have a bunch of Ninja products because i know their products work and have been happy with them. Really love this powerful food processor. So far I have used it to make pizza dough. I tried the 9 cup Ninja food processor and it seem to have trouble with making dough. However, this one didn't have any issues. I would have given it 5 stars except for one issue. When putting in some water and a few drops of dish soup to clean it as recommended, my Ninja leaked water off the top of the lid. Not sure if there is an issue with mine or just this model. Minor issue to me, not worth returning, but cannot give it 5 stars because of my issue.

    Multifaceted Powerful Food Processor

Posted by Leon Olsen on 21st Apr 2024

    >> Overview The package arrived and it felt heavy for a food processor. Would inside come a powerful device? Yes indeed, the Ninja Professional XL Food Processor must be one of the most powerful and convenient food processors for home use out there. It has been an upgrade from the smaller food processors we own, and we are more than happy to have made the jump. We can now prepare food for parties or gatherings better and faster. And even just for the small family that live at home, with the different options it provides from chop/slice to dough mix, we found the Ninja a very convenient device and it has become our de facto food processor. If I try to find a flaw in this device, perhaps the only other drawback, besides being a little heavy, is that although it has a 3-part pusher to adjust different size ingredients, some ingredients have to be sliced to smaller pieces to fit in. For example, big potatoes or zucchinis. Nevertheless, that is just a little inconvenient or no inconvenient at all if compared to our other devices. - Pros: big size, powerful, sharp blades/discs, multiple configurations, food processor, dough mixer. - Cons: a little heavy. >> Food Processor My first use of this device was to chop veggies. I placed the carrots, onions, tomatoes, and jalapenos, and the Ninja Professional XL Food Processor did its job amazingly fast, I ended up with a tasty mix for my salad. And that was just using the auto-IQ chop setting. I can set it to low-speed and high-speed settings if needed. With the high-speed setting, you can go from chopping to making puree in a few seconds, it is just that simple. The only issue I’ve found when doing some puree is that sometimes small chunks/pieces would get attached to the sides of the bowl. The blades run very close to the sides of the bowl, but there is still a little space that can cause for some of the material. Well, not a big deal, just use a spoon to give it a pass around the bowl and continue pureeing. >> Slicer (Disc) I like to slice my veggies mostly by hand with a very sharp knife since I can produce slices (even thin ones) without damaging the vegetable or fruit too much and preserve their “original” taste. That is if I have time, if I don’t have much time, then I have other devices for slicing, but I’ve found that the pieces don’t come up as neat as I would want. Using the discs provided with the Ninja Professional XL Food Processor I was able to get slices as close to what I would have liked in seconds! No noticeable or unnecessary damage to the fruit/veggie. Since the discs are adjustable, I was even able to get paper-thin pieces! Incredible. I hope the discs/blades stay sharp for a very long time. I can slice carrots, cucumbers, zucchinis, etc. to the thickness I’d like. It is insane how useful having the option to adjust thickness is, Yuca fries, for example, sliced very thin are so delicious. One thing I tried and doesn’t seem to work that well, is when slicing thin layers of garlic (yes, some preparations I have extremely thin slices of garlic), but this device is a little too big to be really useful, well I don’t mind to still having to slice garlic manually. >> Dough mixer I am not the kind of person that makes any pastries, but my wife does. Although she has a couple of different mixers from other manufactures, she decided to give the Ninja Professional XL Food Processor a try. She’s been amazed at how good this device mixes dough. It is not as high a capacity as other dough mixers we own, but it is good enough to mix most of the recipes she usually makes. Her favorite preparations: pie crust and cookie dough. She’s been very pleased with the pie crust mixing, as the results are outstanding with a mix as homogenous as one would want, and with all the butter evenly spread (without needing to melt the butter or make it softer, just using it fresh out of the refrigerator). This contrasts with other devices which sometimes leave chunks of butter in the mix even if using room temperature butter.

This is a large food processor!

Posted by Kristopher Pugh on 18th Apr 2024

The Ninja Professional XL Food Processor comes in as advertised. First of all, it is huge. Larger than what most food processors are sized. Second it stands by its name as Professional as this is powerful and can handle larger volumes suited for preparing food for large groups or even for a small restaurant setting. So before actually buying or just even considering this food processor make sure that this will suffice for your needs. If not then consider a smaller Ninja Food Processor. As mentioned earlier, this is a large food processor powered by 1100 watts. Aside from its size, it is fairly designed like any other food processor. Its base has some heft to it to make it mores stable. Plus, it has suction cups like other Ninja products instead of rubber grommets to add more stability. It has a large nesting work bowl and with a chopping blade assembly. And a three-part food pusher for different sizes of food items you want to chop or slice. The accessories included are 1) an adjustable slicing disc. This slicer can be adjusted to make slices from 3mm to 8mm thick. And do note the blade is really sharp (I cut myself when I was cleaning this disc prior to use.); 2) a reversible shredding. One side is for a fine shred and the other is for a coarse shred.; 3) a disc spindle (or an adaptor if you will) if you are using the discs or the optional smaller nesting work bowl.; 4) a dough blade assembly (Yes you can prepare bread for this one.) and 5) a storage box to keep things organized. And while the storage box may keep the accessories nice and tidy, it may be too bulky for some people. Operation of this food processor is really quite simple. First lock into place the nesting bowl. Then choose whatever accessory you need. Lock in the three part pusher. And you’re good to go. The controls of the base are pretty much simple to. Obviously there is the power switch. Then you have the four methods of food processing namely chop, dough, puree and disc (for slicing or shredding). (These are in essence self explanatory.) A high and low setting though you need to use the low setting when using the discs. And lastly there is a pulse button in case you don’t want to over process your food. But to make things easier, this model also has Auto-IQ programs which are just timed processes depending on what food you’d prepare. To summarize, there is nothing new in this food processor save for its size. Add that it is made by Ninja which gives you a strong and reliable motor. Plus the build quality is a notch above cheaper brands justifying its cost. I would recommend this food processor. And again if it’s too big for your needs, get a smaller one from Ninja.

    Powerful

Posted by Frank Peterson on 18th Apr 2024

The Ninja Professional XL Food Processor is a powerful machine. It makes quick work of chopping, shredding, and mixing. The adjustable slicer is a feature that I really like. You can adjust the slices from paper thin 0.3mm up to a thickness of 8mm. The shredder slices both coarse and fine. The chopper is quick and does a great job of getting everything chopped evenly. The dough blade does a pretty good job, although it has shown a tendency to push dry ingredients to the top of the bowl and I've had to scrape the sides to get an even mix. The processor requires the large feed chute to be in place in order for it to run. There are 3 feed chute sizes to make it easier to feed different sized foods through. The first recipe I decided to try was the included fried pickle recipe. None of the 3 feed chutes was a good fit for the large whole kosher dills I used. Since they were too large for the 2 smallest chutes I had to use the large which allowed the pickles to fall over and slice sideways. The were still usable, but not the intended slice. All slices were uniform thickness which is optimal for frying in batches. The batter mixed well, though I had to scrape the dry ingredients off the top of the bowl and pulse into the mix. The cleanup is not too bad. I rinsed all items and put them in the dishwasher. The only problem is the handle that allows water to get trapped inside. I've washed all items in the dishwasher and by hand and it doesn't matter which way they are washed, the handle ends up with water trapped inside and it stays there even after 24 hrs. of drying. It should be watertight or have someway to drain the water and allow air to dry it, but it isn't and it doesn't. I have made cookie dough, not bread, pizza or pie dough so far. Though it did mix the cookie dough, I admit that the cleanup is not worth using this food processor for. A mixer is much easier to clean and just as easy to use if not more so. I should mention the Auto-IQ settings. I have used the setting for dough, chop and disc. All worked fine. Depending on what you need you select the appropriate button and let the machine do the work. It pauses during the process and begins again until complete. Other than the water problem and having to scrape dry ingredients back down for another run it is a powerful machine that makes quick work of chopping, slicing, dicing, and dough mixing. Taco nights, pizza nights, salads, dips and sauces all quicker and easier with this food processor.
