DOES NOT WORK WITH BLUE SNOWBALL.

Posted by James Reyes on 24th Jun 2024

Great quality, but only works for mics that are abnormally heavy. Tension doesn’t allow for mics that would otherwise be compatible, and there is no clear warning of this nor is there a good solution. Too expensive for me to have to attach an exercise weight to the end for it to work properly. Considered getting a refund but I don’t have a Best Buy close enough. Disappointed.

Rock solid stand for my Yeti. It moves around with ease and looks fantastic!

Along with the RodePodmic this really helped bring my setup together. Highly recommend. Great movement, amazing quality, holds good amount of weight!

    Great Arm

It’s a good arm. Only issue is the tension, it refuses to sit in a lower position, but since it’s hanging over my pc I don’t mind. Its being used with a quadcast.

    Elegant and sturdy

Love the sleek design and solid structure. I recently upgraded my audio setup to a Shure SM7B which isn’t exactly light, and I would never trust a generic Amazon boom arm to hold its weight. For $100, I’ll gladly take another quality product from Blue.

    Works as expected!

Makes my setup a lot cleaner than using the mic stand that comes with the yeti. Doesn't feel cheap.

    Just simply amazing

I bought three different ones before I found this. I would recommend this to anyone using desk mounted microphone set up. It’s very smooth doesn’t shake in the lower pivot point like all the others. The place to hide the wire on back is also just perfect. This is well worth $100 without a doubt. I use it to mount mics or cameras or cell phone.

If you have a light microphone this arm wont work.

Posted by Gregory Humphrey on 3rd Jun 2024

While this arm looks great on camera, there are two major flaws that hold it back from being a good product. First of all, the tension springs are far too tight no matter how much you adjust any of the tension knobs. Secondly, the thumbscrew knobs to adjust the tension are plastic. Unless if you have a heavy microphone, the springs WILL cause the microphone to creep upwards. The main reason for the one-star review is due to the thumb screws and Logitech's own advice, though. Checking forums, Representatives had said to "simply tighten the thumb screws until your microphone stays in place". Doing so WILL break the thumb screws. I had tightened the knobs as much as I could, trying to get the tension to work. But tightening all the way, the friction fit in the middle thumbscrew broke and now the arm straightens out. Upon further inspection, the plastic knob stripped completely. Granted, I did use pliers to get it this tight, but with Logitech representatives telling me to do so, I figured the tension adjuster would bottom out before damaging itself. This problem would probably not happen with heavier mics, but the poor customer service and cheaping out on build quality where it matters is upsetting - especially when paying a premium. Only buy this if your mic is heavy.
