Great picture , poor controls
Excellent picture quality . I would rate picture a 5 . The only reason I rated 4 was because of the ridiculous power "switch" . It's one of those single button things that serves 40 different functions . It takes 5 minutes just turning the stupid thing off ! I want a power switch that controls power AND NOTHING ELSE ! Its nails on a chaulkboard everytime I have to remember What the unique press and hold ....standing on your left leg face east on Tuesdays , unless it's raining then it does something else !!!! They have a little screen that comes up but it's of little use . Whenever I see a device with a nice "clean" white screen with no words and a few meaningless symbols I cringe . THEY ARE NOT MAKING IT EASIER , THEY MAKE IT HARDER ! Blank white screens with everything buried out of sight absolutely sucks . Let it look cluttered ! At least I can find something !

Expensive but Stunning (Decadent???)
The image is big and amazing. Apart from that obvious comment, I'm thrilled with the added features. With T-bolt 4 a single cable powers my laptop and provides a data connection to the monitor eliminating the need for a docking station to connect mouse, keyboard, camera, etc. It's connected to an HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook and works perfectly extending the desktop.

Excellent monitor.
I was worried about jumping from a 27" to a 40" screen. Now I can't imagine using anything less that the 40". Text is clear, even when I switch to a small size. Curvature seems just right in allowing me to easily see information at the far sides. I've used it only a month and a half, so comments on durability have to wait. Annoyances: monitor takes several seconds to wake after I hit a key on the keyboard. To change speaker volume, must use the joystick at the base of the monitor - keyboard controls have no effect. All in all, I'm delighted with the monitor.

Great, but could be better
Great viewing resolution, only downfall is the refresh rate, but for a workstation it's fine. Brightness is just good enough for a semi bright room

Absolutely insane
This 5k by 2k resolution monitor is everything you need for productivity purposes. the thunderbolt 4 port is a major plus. The only thing I'd say is the scaling in Mac's. The 5k by 2k resolution makes the font very small so you'll need to settle for other slightly lower resolutions, but this "problem" doesn't exist on the windows side. Absolutely recommend this monitor

Stunning size and resolution! It's a keeper!
Phenomenal screen! The size and resolution are stunning. Just wish the LG 40WP95C-W were a little bit brighter but definitely not a deal breaker. Most ultra-wide screens that size are 300 nits anyway. And after a while you don't really notice the lower brightness except when compared to say a Mac Pro or iMac. Buy it, you'll love it! No regrets here! I'm in love with this screen!

Impressed!
Tried a few Ultra Wides primarily for my MacBook Pro, but also wanted it to look good with my Windows desktop! The 5k resolution is incredible with both, and using something like easyRes on Mac makes this monitor so great looking at full 4k with retina! Can fit so much more on my 1 monitor now for work and feel way more productive with video conference, without needing dual monitors any more. Email, code, browser, and terminal all on the screen at the same time, and totally legible in full 4k (or even 5k). Would recommend to remote workers or anyone who wants to be more product with one monitor instead of 2!!

Works great with M1 Pro 2021 16" MacBook Pro
I originally bought the 38" 38wn95c and it worked with the 2021 macbook pro m1 pro 16" with all the scalening options available, however the low resolution text didnt agree with my eyes. So i returned and got this 40" 5k2k and wow the text and resolution is as clear as a 5k imac and yes all the scaling options are available for the macbook pro 2021 m1 pro. I am so glad I got this monitor! Its expensive especially since the 38" is currently on sale for 350.00 off but for someone who likes to read this higher resolution monitor was a no-brainer even at 800 more price!

Great for MacBook Pro; glorious low refresh gaming
To call this simply a monitor is like calling the Grand Canyon a hole in the ground. Its 40" of curved beauty is perfect for simultaneously displaying multiple open windows. I had been worried it would be too big, but I've quickly gotten used to the size and now wouldn't want anything smaller. I use this with a 2019 MacBook Pro and it displays marvelously while also acting as a superb docking station. I did have concerns that the low refresh rate wouldn't work well for gaming, but for the types of games I play (Civilization VI, Europa Universalis, Victoria 3, etc.) I haven't had any issues. Other games requiring higher refresh rates may get dicey, though. I also would recommend pairing this with Logitech's MX Keys Advanced wireless keyboard.
