Excellent Picture Quality for Less!
The picture quality on this panel is superb. The colors pop and the blacks are as inky as you can get without going to OLED. When you watch content with black bars on the top and bottom, the black bars are actually black. I saw character’s faces lit in detail on top of inky blackness in the campfire scene in Fallout Episode 2. That said, the panel is a bit glossier than my old TV but after a few days I didn’t notice the difference anymore. The viewing angles are really good, making this set great for a family room with multiple seating positions. Dolby Vision support is included which makes for some incredible 4K HDR experiences if your content supports it. The picture quality is so good that I replaced a perfectly fine 3-year-old flagship TV from a name brand competitor that easily had cost me twice as much at the time. The reason for doing so is the Mini-LED technology, or full array dimming. Mini-LED serves as a great middle ground between the premium (and pricey) picture quality of OLED and the standard backlit LED sets of yesteryear. However, Hisense seems to have disabled full array dimming by default meaning it’s not any better than a standard LED screen. Make sure you turn on the full array dimming, which is in the picture quality settings, as the difference is night and day. Take a look at the picture where the Local Dimming I have turned to "High". The remote is very nice, it has a brushed metal look and lights up making it easier to use. Despite being an “Apple household”, the built-in Google TV has every app I need including Apple TV and the TV supports Homekit which means you can stream from an iPhone or use one as a remote over wifi. As good as this TV is, it is a midrange set and Hisense had to save some top-of-the-line features for their flagship, the U8. This means you will only get a 60hz panel and HDMI 2.0, which is fine if you only use it for streaming content or even watching 4K blurays because as far as I know no one streams faster than 60hz. Gamers might be looking for 120hz, but honestly, I’ve been using my PS5 and I don’t think many will miss the faster refresh considering the picture quality and value of this TV. The other feature held back is that the peak brightness is only rated at 600 nits. While plenty bright, you might need to go with the higher end model if it’s going to be in a bright room. The only other minor nitpick is sometimes the Google TV interface will lag or stutter especially when trying to navigate or load an app. I'm not sure if it’s a remote issue, software issue, a wifi issue, or if that’s just normal. However, once I am within an app and playing content things are fine. Regarding sound, I have it hooked up to a home theater system via the eARC HDMI output so I can’t comment on the sound quality. If you do go this route though all of the sound from either an app on the TV or an input such as game console is correctly piped through my stereo speakers, and I can control the volume as expected using the TV remote. Pros: 75” Mini-LED with Full Array Dimming Dolby Vision, HDR10/+, HLG Excellent Viewing Angles Google TV Built-in (w/ Apple TV app) Apple Airplay and Homekit Support Lighted Remote with Google Assistant Weighs only ~60 lbs. 2 Year Warranty Cons: Only 60hz Only 600 Nits Peak Brightness Some stuttering in Apps Overall – The Hisense U6N offers excellent picture quality at a compelling value. The only reason not to get it is to consider their higher end model if you need 120hz for gaming or more peak brightness.

Beautiful Tv Screen
I am delighted with my new Tv, it has a beautiful high definition imagen, it looks real, to improve the sound you have to add a Tv soundbar, I recommend it...

Can’t recommend this TV enough!
Watched Avatar on Disney+ and the U6N really brings out the highlights and detail that this movie demands. Brightness and contrast pop. Watching fights, YouTube and live tv via antenna, the Hisense u6n makes the content look better and upscales it like a campion handles fast moving images well and love the remote. Can’t recommend me this tv enough,

Big quality screen at an incredible price!
PROS: - Vibrant colors and deep blacks thanks to full array local dimming/mini-LEDs and quantum dot - Smart TV with built-in Google Assistant so you have all your favorite streaming apps built-in - Thin bezels for a sleek look CONS: - Initial setup and updates take some time - Startup is slow - Remote response can be slow I was very surprised about the size of the TV thinking my previous 65” TV was huge but this Hisense 75” is an absolute behemoth framed with thin bezels all the way around. Thoughtfully they did include two mounting options for the legs, both wide and narrow, so that you can adjust based on the size of your media center console without having to go buy a new one. If you’re going to wall mount it uses a standard 400mm x 400mm VESA pattern with M6 screws. In terms of inputs if you are like me with an external soundbar then you’ll be pleased with the inclusion of eARC on one of the HDMIs in addition to 3 other HDMI ports. There is also optical audio if you require that for your soundbar or dedicated audio receiver. The TV only supports up to 60Hz in, but for most applications the picture is going to looks great and you won’t notice a difference. The TV features an RJ-45 port so you can hardwire your internet in if you have the drop for it. A minor annoyance, especially if you are wall mounting the TV is that the ports are all on one side and power is on the other which makes things slightly messy if you have power and ports integrated into one box on your wall for example. On the front of the TV there is a manual privacy slider for the built-in microphone if you wish to shut it off which is great for those that want the option. There are USB ports (0.5A) on the back as well and while the TV does have built-in Google Assistant a nice touch would have been something with higher amperage in case you did want to plug in something else. Turning on the TV for the first time you’ll be greeted with many updates which does take some time, but it’s also great to see that they are continually updating the software. The controller is plastic with a metal finish, but is nice with app shortcut buttons, a google assistant button, and backlight. Navigating the software can seem slow due to some input lag from the controller, but it's very straight forward to navigate through your favorite streaming apps and shows. Since this unit is mini-LED with full array local dimming the contrast is much better than older LED TVs that might only have direct lit or edge lit backlights which results in a washed-out picture. The mini-LED strategy paired with quantum dot technology really makes the colors vibrant and pop. 4K YouTube footage, Netflix, and games on my Xbox Series X were immersive and looked great with deep blacks and rich colors. The built-in speakers offer a very balanced audio experience with a good amount of bass that’s good for day-to-day enjoyment.

Fantastic display, controls are a little sluggish
I had a Vizio TV that developed multi-colored lines. It's my TV in the basement so I was looking for a mid-range TV that just worked. Enter the Hisense U6N which blew away my expectations. The Hisense U6N offers Mini-LED, Quantum Dot Color Technology, Local Dimming, and Dolby Vision (along with all major HDR formats). The result is a very capable TV that produces a clear picture, remarkable eye-popping color, that has the brightness to handle a fully lit room and local dimming for those times you want to turn out the lights and enjoy dark scenes. Refresh Rate on this TV set is 60 Hz, but Motion Rate capable of 240. The bezels around the sides and top are about 1 cm wide. The bottom bezel is a little wider. But it all fades into the background when you're watching content on the TV. Physical setup was pretty easy. There are instructions in the box on how to set up the feet of the TV. These feet are about 12 inches in length and can be paired up in two configurations. The widest configuration is great for stability, while the narrow configuration is great for when you don't have a wide enough TV stand. In my case, since I was taking down my old TV that was wall mount, I was able to quickly swap in the wall mounting frame into the 400 x 400 VESA mounting configuration. At roughly 60 lbs, the TV screen isn't terribly heavy, just bulky, so best to have a partner to help you move it around. The Hisense U6N has 4 HDMI. 3 of them clustered together off to the side with the third one supporting eARC, the 4th HDMI port faces the wall behind the TV along with the Optical port and Network jack. There are two USB ports supplying up to 5V @ 0.5A. It also has a Coax input and a headphone jack. The remote is laid out pretty logically and has a nice feel to it. It's plastic, but it has a brushed aluminum feel to it. It is also backlight which is a nice touch. First time setup was a little tedious. There are a lot of legal agreements involved. Nowadays, this is par for the course. It took two attempts before it connected to my wireless network. It also didn't like connecting to my Google account the first time, but afterwards it was just fine. Once it was set up, I could connect to my usual streaming services or install them pretty easily. I connected this TV to a different branded sound bar via an Optical Audio cable. I had to go to two places to set the Optical Audio. One to set the output, another to set the audio pass through. Once that was done, I found I could control some of the volume with the TV but ultimate volume is really controlled by the soundbar. In other words, I found that the audio was set to 80 on the TV and changes to that number were subtle. However, when I flipped to the soundbar's remote to control the volume, it made a big difference. If you're in a similar predicament, I would look for a universal remote where you can set the volume controls to the soundbar instead of the TV. Watching TV Shows or Movies or even YouTube videos is quite enjoyable on this U6N TV. The out of the box color contrast is very pleasing. The colors pop very nicely (not comically). I connected this to my Xbox One S for some 4K Blu Rays and was quite impressed with the performance. I also grabbed some of my games and did not feel any input lag and I feel that the processor really worked in my favor to eliminate tearing. After settling in with the TV, I did find a few annoyances. The first is that it takes about 40 seconds for the TV to start up on a cold start. The first 5 seconds you have a blank screen and then the Hisense logo shows up. Then after another 15 seconds, a Google logo shows up. Then 20 seconds after that, is when the TV menu pops in. This is unusually long in my experience. Second, response to the remote control is sluggish and WiFi connection doesn't always connect right away. Third is that the power cord is on the right hand side of the TV while all the other input cables are on the left. This made wire management just a little more difficult. Third, there is a white status LED that in my opinion should be a lot dimmer. When the TV is off, that status LED is on and kinda bright. When the TV is on, thankfully that LED is off. And last, while there are microphones on the TV and remote, if I want to disable the TV microphone, there is a slider switch that can mute the microphone, however four amber LEDs stay on. I am hoping a future software update will allow a user to disable those amber LEDs. Otherwise, I might just have to employ a little bit of black electrical tape. In the end, it's a great TV. It's loaded with well thought out features that you would be hard pressed to find in an LG or Samsung branded TV for the equivalent price.

Ballin’ on a Budget
The Hisense U6 Smart Google TV is objectively not the best 75” TV on the market. But if you ask me if I care, I will decisively tell you no every time. Because you can’t go wrong at this price point. You’re getting a gigantic TV that supports 4K content with above average image quality coming from a mini LED panel that is locally dimmed. For the average user like myself that uses a TV for content consumption in the form of sports, movies, and YouTube, you’ll be impressed. Setup is easy and the adjustable feet allow you to put it on just about size shelf or TV stand. It will quite literally fit on any 4 cube organizer. Long term stability is questionable, but it will fit. The Google OS makes it easy to log in and sync data among your other devices. As long as you aren’t whispering or mumbling, the voice remote will get you where you want to go 99% of the time. The native apps have worked well thus far. I personally can’t really complain at all about this TV. It’s big, doesn’t break the bank, and will get you a lot of compliments from your friends who come over to watch the NBA finals. What more could you ask for?

Love watching 4K content on this TV!
After reading reviews about the clarity and performance of the Mini LED TVs, I've been wanting to get one to replace an outdated (8 yr old) TV. This Hisense TV is a great bargain without needing to spend $2-3K. You do need two people to unbox and get the TV setup. Since we were going to sit it on the table, we attached the legs (it is also setup to mount on the wall). You have the option of putting the legs closer together (in case your table isn't wide enough for the legs being put closer to the edge of the TV). I thought that was a nice option for people upgrading from smaller TVs that may have tables sized for the smaller TV. Setting up the TV took longer than I expected. From the time we powered it on to the time it was usable was about 30-35 minutes. The reason for this was the multiple downloads and installs you need to do get the TV up to date. This isn't a big deal since it is a one time process and you don't have to actively do anything while it is downloading and installing the updates. On to the important stuff...the picture quality. WOW! Watching 4K content on this TV is incredible. I have the 4K add-on for YoutubeTV and watched a few nature episodes filmed in 4K. Incredible clarity! We are sitting about 7 feet from the TV which allows you to see image in outstanding detail. A+ for the picture at the price point of this TV. The big challenge with 4K is the availability of content. I'm expecting UHD content to be more and more prevalent over the next few years. At this point, many of your big sporting events are filmed or upscaled to 4K and there is 4K content from various providers (YoutubeTV and Netflix for example); however, the majority of what you watch will still be in HD (1080 or 720). This TV does a great job with that content as well. For those that are sports enthusiasts, this TV has all 60Hz inputs. For fast motion, 120Hz is better but you also have to bump up in price to get it. For the value, this set does a nice job with fast motion sports (ball being thrown, people running, etc.). You do see some shadowing on it while the TV tries to keep up with the motion, but I didn't feel that it detracted from the viewing experience. Overall, this is a great TV for the price point and I would recommend it.

Mini-led delivers quality
Another great TV from Hisense. I already own the A6 model from about three years ago and am pleased to welcome the U6 model into my household. Mini-led with full array local dimming is intended to provide great picture quality and it shows on this version. No more blooming or ghostly glow around dark scenes. When playing HDR quality footage, blacks are blacks as intended. It has Dolby Atmos built in, but I would still recommend getting a soundbar/subwoofer for better sound quality. I have it paired with a Hisense Dolby Atmos soundbar and the TV transfers the signal with no issues. However, for comparison purposes, I tested multiple Atmos scenes on Netflix with and without the soundbar. I admit I am surprised that the TV speakers alone provide great sound and, although minimal, I do notice the height effects when Atmos kicks in. However, the speakers do lack the bass that I am so accustomed to with the external soundbar/subwoofer but I still feel like the standard TV viewer will have no issue with the quality. The remote stands out with the textured gray color but I noticed it lacks a numeric keypad. In its place is a ‘123’ button to bring up the number selection menu. After using it for a while, I found it to be perfect for my use. All the App buttons (Netflix, Youtube, Amazon Video, Disney+, Tubi) are used in our household on a daily basis. My favorite remote feature is the motion sensor lighting, which is perfect while watching tv in a darkened room. As soon as you pick up the remote, the buttons light up and then turn off automatically after you set it back down. This may be unimpressive to others, but it is a new feature to me. As a side note, I appreciate the manufacturer’s 2-year warranty for parts/labor. Overall, an excellent TV for 2024.
