    Sound not greatest

Posted by Ashley Baird on 23rd May 2024

As far as the viewing quality I’m very impressed I went from a Samsung that gave out to this. I just don’t like the sound. Good thing I have it hooked up to a Bose sound bar.

    Great Quality!

Posted by Margaret Garner on 22nd May 2024

To start, I was looking for a TV on the larger side. 65 inches was the smallest I was willing to go but I really wanted a 75-inch TV to fill in my living room. I didn't want to compromise on features, performance, or visual quality. After spending some time with this TV, I can confidently say it has everything I was looking for at a great price point. The Mini-LED technology has ensured that I'm never going back to regular LED. The images are vibrant and crisp. The blacks are black and the colors pop. Movies, video games, and streaming all look amazing on this screen. Even games rated for 120 FPS look great because of the 240 Motion Rate technology, which I don't entirely understand but I appreciate. 600 nits are more than enough on this huge screen. You will not be disappointed with how bright it can get! Unless you plan on having it exclusively outside, that sun is killer. Set up was easy but it is definitely a two-person job with its size. You don't want to damage it right out of the box. The built-in Google Assistant and UI are great! I haven't experienced any lag in settings or when switching apps. It all just works, which is heaven-sent. There is no buffering and no launching issues. 10/10 user experience. I fully recommend this TV!!

Remarkably clear, easy to navigate, fast response

Posted by Michelle Valdez on 8th May 2024

The Television was much lighter than anticipated when bringing it in and setup was minimal. I would recommend doublechecking the foam for any parts that you cannot find - they are securely located, but require you to access what would be the 'top flap' of the box. The remote setup was quick and the ability to link to Google account made all of th app installation and use much faster than expected. The weight of the unit, as mentioned above, was remarkable and made it easy for two people to set in place. I will mention also that the depth of the stand is 14 inches and although adjustable, if you are using the stand rather than a wall mount, measure your shelf/table depth first. Plug in locations were good and the height from base to bottom of the television was sufficient to centrally locate a media device with good clearance. included or preloaded streaming services covered the most common and certainly all that we use. The refresh rate and sound were great and although the menus are easy to use, we didn't have to spend much time in them. The layout and accessibility of selections was good, the ability to move app icons on the screen took some getting used to. Casting from external devices such as phones and PC went off simply as well - very nice option. If you need a TV this size for sports viewing or movies, and you have a deep enough stand I would recommend this unit. Very pelased.

    Hisense TV

Absolutely thrilled with our new Hisense TV. The screen clarity is amazing, the sound makes it feel like we’re in a movie theater. The installation was quick and the geek squad could not have been more helpful and bringing us up to speed on the electronic upgrade since our last TV. we had a brief problem that was handled efficiently by our AT&T rep. We highly recommend this product.

    Not worth $849.99 sale price!

The picture is good. Sound is OK. The TV froze up once so far, I have had it for a week let’s hope this is not gonna happen again. I still have the box. Luckily I have extended return policy because of my total tech-support membership if something like that happens again and again within that 60 days, I am returning it!

Great tv with a beautiful picture, mediocre sound

Posted by Heather Sullivan on 18th Apr 2024

I have been using the Hisense U6 for about a week or so and have been pretty impressed so far. After unboxing and plugging it in, there is, of course, the obligatory update which took about 20 minutes to complete. (I am using a wifi connection which is pretty speedy, but a wired connection could have brought this time down somewhat.) Once that was done, the rest of the setup process went smoothly through the Google Home app. That part took about 10 minutes but it was painless. Once all of that was done and my external devices were connected, it was on to a beautiful viewing experience. Before getting to that though, I will say that during setup I noticed the system sounds and clicks were on which I personally cannot stand. It’s not easy or intuitive to find the toggle to shut them off so having to spend several minutes digging and drilling down through the various menus was frustrating. A minor issue, but something that irritated me. One other small gripe is about the remote. It is a sleek, thin, and somewhat slippery device which I fear I’m going to drop just about every time I pick it up. The battery compartment is a little difficult to figure out and I was afraid I was going to break something trying to get it open. The backlighting is a nice add-on, but it’s not for all of the buttons. And I’m not the biggest fan of the preset quick access buttons, but at least there is one you can customize for yourself. Now on to the picture quality which is obviously the most important thing about a tv. The screen has great overall brightness and the color tones were perfect for my liking without having to make any adjustments which is a rarity. The clarity is absolutely amazing, especially when watching fast-paced sports or gaming. The local dimming provided by the mini-LED’s is much better than other tv’s I’ve owned in the past. It seems much more natural which is likely because of the dramatic increase in the number of supported zones (think thousands rather than less than 100), so the contrast difference in light and dark areas is dramatic without feeling blown out. For something in this price range, it is quite impressive. Hisense also has included an HDR IQ feature which allows the tv to automatically adjust to varying room lighting conditions. In the past, I have always turned these types of features off because they never seemed to really work, but Hisense has figured out how to do it and make it feel natural. While this set only has a 60Hz refresh, and doesn’t necessarily have all of the options you get in a high-end tv, it is certainly a leader in this price point and it doesn’t feel lacking in the options department. Finally, the sound quality is the only place this tv really sags. The built-in speakers just don’t have any “oomph” and the sound can be flat. Where I have this tv there really isn’t a good place to install a soundbar or other external speakers, so I’m stuck with what I’ve got. This isn’t my “main” tv so it’s not a huge deal, but if good sound is what you’re looking for, know you’ll likely need to supplement the built-ins with something else.
