A 50mm equivalent lens this lens is great for Portrait photography. The images are super sharp with the really pretty and smooth bokeh

Nice Prime lens for sony 6000

Watched a few reviews online and decide to purchase. I'm just a casual photo guy. Really like the how fast the lens is. Went to Longwood gardens for a night fountain show and go some terrific pictures. Very easy to use and not crazy expensive.

    Great lens for the price.

It has great auto focus speed and charity. Very sharp and fast. The size is small and compliments the Sony a6500 I use it on. Great to use on a gimbal. Great low light focus.

    Great bang for buck

Great quality at a budget price. Having a large aperture is always a plus, especially in those low light situations.

Honestly one of the best camera lenses you can get, especially if your just buying/using a camera for your first time. Easy to use and even easier to get that perfect photo your looking for. Sigma’s quality is top tier. Absolutely no complaints! I would recommend this lense to anyone and everyone!

    Amazing value

Posted by William Morgan on 8th May 2024

This is a really good lens and amazing value for the price. It makes very sharp images. The only thing i dislike about this lens is the purple fringing is more noticeable then some of my other lenses but for the price to performance this lens is definitely worth it. I shot both pictures that i am uploading on this lens and i like both of them.

Hardly take this off my 6300. Just a pristine lens with quality glass, and the ability to capture so many awesome images with its versatility. Love this lens.

Awesome lens for Sony APS-C mirrorless camera

Posted by Brian Sanchez on 23rd Apr 2024

If you want a sharp lens along with a large aperture for your Sony APS-C camera, then the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens is an outstanding option. There are full frame lens choices that will do as well as the Sigma lens, but those lenses cost more and weigh considerably more. I am using the Sigma 30mm on a Sony a6500. It makes for a great low light combination and a pretty good portrait lens. The focusing with the a6500 works well. I have used it for action shots and its continuous focus tracking does a good, if not excellent, job. For still shots the focusing is spectacular even in low light. Optically, wow! It reminds me of the Sigma full frame Art lenses. Great lens at a reasonable price. The only thing missing is optical stabilization, if your camera does not have IBIS.

    WOW!!!

I was on the fence about using this with my a6400 since it doesn't have any stabilization and man i didn't really notice too much shake maybe because I've gotten used to shooting video handheld but the image is great really sharp love the look. At this price you really can't beat it.
