    Works great with my mirrorless

Posted by Mrs. Traci Green on 5th May 2024

Great pix with my Sony a7ii mirrorless camera. Works like I wanted and expected. Will work in auto mode but, I prefer manual. This really fits my needs of bird watching shots.

    Great lens for wildlife

Posted by Matthew Scott on 2nd May 2024

Excellent lens. Great quality sharp photos. Takes a little to get used to since it is a little heavier than he kit lens I had been using. Love being able to shoot wildlife not having to worry about getting too close or cropping a lot when editing.

    Excellent for nature photography

Posted by Patricia Santiago on 29th Apr 2024

First off .. this is a HEAVY LENS (you do need a tripod to help you out) and yes, that case it comes with (and the shoulder straps for the lens itself) is very HANDY INDEED (it stabilizes me and prevents it from falling when I put it on the camera body) but I do enjoy nature photography and nowadays being older, I have a rolling small airline case that I use to hold tripod, lenses and camera body So this one does indeed provide a great choice when photographing birds in wild (I wouldn't have gotten my eagle shots without it!)

    Great birding lens

Posted by Jason Humphrey on 17th Apr 2024

Great birding lens for the money. I have a Canon t6i and they work very well together. A sturdy tripod is a must for spot-on pictures as it is rather heavy and not so much a hand-holding lens. I would definitely recommend purchasing the USB Dock to set-up the lens the way you want it and also to upgrade the software.

    Great First Super Telephoto Lens

Posted by Amber Morgan on 15th Apr 2024

This lens is a good introduction to the world of super telephoto lenses. As such, you should expect a learning curve until you learn how get the most out of it. In fact, I highly recommend the Sigma Dock as companion purchase so that you tune the lens to your camera. The images were good prior to calibration, Images are pretty stunning afterwards. The calibration process can be time consuming, which consists of taking test shots under 16 different scenarios. However, you are rewarded with excellent images, provided you are thorough and take your time.

    Excellent Lens

Posted by John Rivers on 14th Apr 2024

I've gotten into wildlife photography and my 55-200mm lens wasn't cutting it. I did a lot of research before buying a telephoto lens for my Nikon D5200. This lens did not disappoint. I've used for 2 weekends at my local wildlife drive and the quality of my pictures has skyrocketed. Lens is solid, heavy at about 10lbs. Most pictures are sharp and crisp, most that are not are my fault. there is a little learning curve, but I'm ecstatic with this lens.

    Must have lens

Posted by Jared Garcia on 11th Apr 2024

Love this lens. Coupled with the Canon EOS 80D DSLR, results in excellent pictures. Primarily shoot wildlife with this lens and have excellent results. This combination is very responsive and it is a rarity that I miss shots now. Lens quality is great for the money.

    This lems is awesome!

Posted by Alfred Flores on 10th Apr 2024

I’ve picked up bird watching as a hobby and wanted to take some picures woth my Canon 6Dm2 and 300mm lens. Soon realized 300mm would not be enough to get good details and the search for a 600mm lens began. I came across this sigma one and acter watching so many youtube videos conparing the Contemporary and Sport variants i ordered both (C new from BestBjuy and S used from mpb). Holdong both, its obviois the S is not intended for handheld photography. Image quality between the two lenses is so close you can’t tell the difference. Now the C is on sale too, and BestBuy price matched. Overall this lens is worth it especially if you want to photograph wildlife and birds, as well as sporting events. .
