    Great SATA SSD.

I purchased the 8TB model and have currently had no problems using it. It can average a bit slower with the write and read speeds. But I bought this for a push to go fully away from mechanical drives.

    Just what needed

The Samsung 870 QVO 8TB Internal SSD SATA is a reliable and spacious storage solution that offers impressive performance and ample capacity for all your data storage needs. As a non-expert, I found this SSD to be a great addition to my setup, providing fast data transfers and a generous amount of storage space. One of the standout features of this SSD is its impressive capacity. With 8TB of storage, I had plenty of room to store my extensive collection of files, documents, photos, and videos. It's perfect for users who require a large amount of storage for gaming, multimedia, or professional purposes. In terms of performance, the Samsung 870 QVO SSD delivers reliable and speedy data transfers. The SATA interface ensures compatibility with a wide range of devices, and the sequential read and write speeds are commendable. I noticed that file transfers and application loading times were noticeably faster compared to traditional hard drives, resulting in a smoother overall computing experience. Installation was straightforward, thanks to the included migration software that made transferring data from my previous storage device a breeze. The drive itself is well-built and durable, ensuring the safety of my valuable data. One aspect to consider is that while the Samsung 870 QVO SSD provides reliable performance, it may not match the speeds of more advanced NVMe SSDs. However, for everyday tasks and general storage needs, it offers more than enough speed and responsiveness. Another consideration is the price point. As with any high-capacity SSD, the cost per terabyte is higher compared to smaller capacity drives. However, considering the ample storage space and the performance boost it provides, the investment is worthwhile for users who require vast storage capabilities. In conclusion, the Samsung 870 QVO 8TB Internal SSD SATA is a reliable and spacious storage solution. Its impressive capacity, solid performance, and ease of installation make it a great choice for users seeking a large storage drive. Whether you're a content creator, a data hoarder, or simply in need of a dependable storage solution, this SSD delivers on its promises. While it may not offer the fastest speeds available, it provides a significant improvement over traditional hard drives and ensures a smooth computing experience.

    BIG space

Posted by Carolyn Jackson on 24th Apr 2024

At the time of writing this, there are very few SSDs with such a large capacity, and from personal experience, I will never run the risk of buying sub-standard drives to save a few bucks, so Samsung is usually my go to for a reliable storage solution. It works well (like every other Samsung drive I have). With the QVO, you get throttling on large file transfers, but that is only a small percentage of what it is used for. This is all drives, the actually size on the PC is smaller than the capacity claims, but I don't like that 8tb is actually 7.26tb(on system, 7.54 on Disk Mng). With such a large capacity, almost a full terabyte is such a wide margin. Good drive though

    Superior quality and immense size.

Samsung quality never ceases to amaze me when it comes to SSDs and the capacity is awesome. No matter which capacity you choose the Samsung SSDs will not let you down. I've used Samsung for almost 8 years now and not a single drive has actually failed just needed more space.
