This radio replacement and steering wheel control interface is easily configurable using a PC application and is direct USB updatable.

Designed for use with CAN-bus radios Retains pre-programmed OEM steering wheel controls, i-Drive controls, and warning chimes including rear park assist and front collision detection when removing the factory radio.
Provides data-controlled accessory and navigation outputs Including data driven accessory power, vehicle speed signal (VSS), illumination, reverse trigger and parking brake to help ensure efficient operation.
Preserve your vehicle’s factory amplified audio system For quality sound in vehicles equipped with Non-Fiber Optic amplifiers. Does not retain amplifiers equipped with a Fiber-Optic input.
*Not compatible in vehicles equipped with the upper screen display (above radio) (CCC or CIC systems). This screen is not retained if the radio is removed, and the owner will lose the ability to adjust some vehicle settings. Radio replacement is not recommended for those applications.
**Not compatible with 1 Series models equipped with navigation.
***Not compatible with 2006 3 Series Coupe models.

Pricey, but it works. Bought a new car stereo and wanted the bmw steering wheel controls to still work.

Wrong did not work they mail me the wrong one paid a shop to install it they told me it didn't have the connections for the speakers for sound
