Feels like i went and had mu teeth cleaned at a dental office. Does an amazing job especially helping to determine which areas need to be brushed more or less. Makes cleaning your teeth a breeze!

    Happy with purchase

Posted by Daniel Daniels on 16th May 2024

My Oral B 1000 toothbrush stopped working. I bought this as a replacement. I was hesitant to spend so much on this toothbrush. Like other reviewers I questioned how different this model could be from the cheaper models. Ultimately I decided to purchase this one because of the different motor. I’m hoping this brush lasts longer than the other Oral B electric brushes in the past. I am pleasantly surprised by the performance of this toothbrush. It does feel different than my older brush. I’ve only used the app a few times. It is interesting to use but I don’t always have my phone on me when brushing. I do like the lights that indicate if you are brushing too hard, soft or just right. I saw some reviews that said they initially had some bleeding so I’ve only used it on sensitive so far. I haven’t had any problems but I have used Oral B electric toothbrushes for years and recently started using a water pick. I’m so so far satisfied with this purchase. Hoping I get many years of use from it for the price.

    Great Electric Toothbrush!

Posted by Michael Levy on 14th May 2024

This is a great electric toothbrush. It comes with three additional heads, travel case and charger. There is also an accompanying mobile app, Oral-B, that you can download to augment your toothbrushing experience. On first use, i was not able to pair the toothbrush to my mobile app (not as straight forward as it should have been). I chose the daily brush mode and found the cleaning experience to be better than what my usual toothbrush was capable of. I noticed there was less remnants of food around my gums and teeth. I was pleasantly surprised! On second use, i was finally able to pair my toothbrush with the mobile phone app and man oh man... The app has a feature that visually shows the user when an area of their teeth is clean (turns from blue to sparkly white). Using the app to guide my brushing, i found my teeth to be extremely clean... Running my tongue along the back and front of my teeth, i could not find any remnants of food at all. Not only does the app show you when your teeth are clean but it also lets you know when you are applying too much pressure (which i apparently do) and guides you with the right pressure levels to apply while brushing. Overall, i am very happy with this Oral B and can’t recommend it enough if you are looking for an electric toothbrush!

THEY MAKE SMART TOOTHBRUSHES NOW? & THEY R AWESOME

Posted by Toni Allen on 13th May 2024

You can find my full review of this product on YouTube here (https://youtu.be/S7p4LksTaK0) BUILD QUALITY/AESTHETICS: For the toothbrush itself. It is very well balanced and lightweight. On the top of the device you have a removeable brush head which have multiple different options which vary in price and function. It takes a light/moderate amount of pressure to remove. Once placed it leaves a small gap before you get to the LED. This is the LED that shows you if you are applying too much, too little, or just right amount of pressure. The LED can be white, blue, turquoise, pink, yellow, or orange. On the front of the device you have a shiny gloss material and in the middle of that closs is a nice colored screen that shows a lot of detail. Above that is the power button and below that is the multifunction button which are a matte grey and take a moderate amount of force to actuate with a crisp tactile click. So, you may be asking yourself. Well, that sounds great and all but how the heck do I charge it? That is where the magnetic charging stand comes into place. It uses a recharge lithium ion battery. I would say you may be able to get about 5 days of use out of it before needing to recharge. I didn’t specifically test this as you should be charging it every night. I have charged it for the past two nights and with me messing around with it while writing this review it still has 80% battery left. The magnetic charging stand is a small circular device that is a matte grey/black with a slight bump in the middle. When you put your toothbrush near it you can start to feel a slight magnetic pull and then you just plop it on the stand and it starts to charge wirelessly. It is quite stable and looks super sleek and futuristic. What a time to be alive. Never thought that I would use the words “wireless charging for a smart toothbrush”. *mind blown. The charger plugs directly into an outlet and can’t be removed which is a bit of a bummer. It takes about 3 hours to fully charge. On the bottom of the device it has three prongs which can be used to unscrew the lithium battery from the device when you are going to dispose of it. Some other random features. It is motion sensitive which means when you pick it up it will say good morning or good night. If you haven’t selected a particular program and you press the multifunction dial it will cycle through the six settings (daily clean, sensitive, whiten, gum care, intense, super sensitive, and then settings. If you have selected a program, (in my case whitening) and press the multifunction dial the first option that will pop up is your current preset, the second press will bring you to daily clean, the third to settings. If you press the power button on settings it will take you to another screen to enable or disable Bluetooth which you can do by pressing the power button. Next is the light ring cycling through those colors. Third is the language. Fourth is factory reset. Fifth is go back. Which means most of the main settings will be located on your cell phone through the Oral-B App. Inside the Oral-B App the first thing you are greeted with is your smile… well a representation of it anyways. Which shows your last brushing and where you had overpressure or anything else. It also gives a little coaching section on how you can improve. If you swipe right it will go to the program you are currently on. If you swipe right again it will show you when you applied a new head (which you put in manually) and the date that you should replace it. Which is nice. You can also setup automatic renewals where they will send you a new brush when yours is getting ready to be replaced. On the bottom if you select history it will show you your score average. The next option is challenges for you achievement hunters out there. Last you have the “more” option which will allow you to change some settings. It also comes with a very cool travel case. Which is made out of plastic. In snaps shut easily and then takes quite a bit of force to open which means it won’t open up in your bag. It then has a slot for your toothbrush and two heads. PROS: - Lightweight sleek design. - Battery life - Smart functions - Replaceable heads - Charging stand - Smart app - Honestly pretty much everything about the device. CONS: - I wish it had a dedicated on/off button that wasn’t always motion activated. As I’m a control freak. - I wish they would have added a third button as sometimes when I’m going through settings I accidently turn on the brush head. - Expensive. - I wish this one came with the tongue cleaning mode and would have forgone another mode. CONCLUSION: I have been brushing my teeth with a normal toothbrush for ages. Gotten pretty good at it if I do say so myself… you know after years of practice twice daily. To the point where when I went in for a cleaning I got excellent marks and very little cleaning was needed except for the bottom mid portion of the mouth that is my problem spot. Now, I’m not bringing this up to brag but to say even though I take my brushing very seriously this toothbrush has brought me to a whole new level and the best way to explain what my teeth feel like after I brush is like I just got home from the dentist after a cleaning. It is dramatically better than even my best brushings with a normal tooth brush. Even my problem spot is dramatically cleaner with a lot less plaque. I’ve noticed my teeth are also a bit whiter and this is only after a short while of using it. Brushing my teeth has now gone from a chore to something that I almost look forward to. As using the tooth brush is fun, and since I’m an incredibly competitive person, each time I brush I get to compete against myself to do better than last time. The lasting benefits of this is that my teeth are cleaner and healthier. Which is good since we only get one set of them in a lifetime and I think they are worth investing in. So, do I recommend this toothbrush. Absolutely. I know I won’t be going back to normal brushing.

    New clean!

Posted by Megan White on 11th May 2024

I was skeptical at first, especially looking at how much it is. But this toothbrush truly takes cleaning to the new level. The head movement enables individual tooth focus cleaning. If you're like me and you dislike cluttering your phone with useless apps, I can vouch that the app is certainly worth downloading. You're missing out if you don't download the app. Aesthetic is very nice. I'm not sure how I feel about the charger. On one hand, it's nice that it doesn't have the bump like other electrical toothbrush chargers, but I don't feel as secured without the bump holding the toothbrush. If you're wondering should you get this toothbrush, make the plunge and your teeth will thank you!

It’s a super tooth cleaning machine!

Posted by Mark Ford on 11th May 2024

In short it’s the best toothbrush I have ever used. It doesn't appear to miss anything when used correctly. You can feel the clean. I would recommend it on that alone. Out of the box it had 50% of charge when I powered it up. The manual that comes with it gives you an overview of how to set it up and use it. It Explains what the brushing modes are and how to select them. Then there’s an App that you can download and use with the iO toothbrush via Bluetooth. I can’t review that feature because I was unable to get the app to talk to my toothbrush. It paired it with my phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus). It took me 3 tries to pair. The app said it couldn’t find the toothbrush even though it was paired and connected. I unpaired and re-paired the toothbrush. No go. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Still no go. Got online and looked for help. Went to Oral B’s site among other places. No luck. Reading over other reviews before writing mine, I see I’m not alone with this problem. No matter. You Do Not need the app to use the toothbrush. From what I can tell, the app is primarily for keeping track of usage and when to replace brush heads. If you don’t plan on using the app, or can’t like me, then just leave bluetooth off. There’s a ring around the top of the power handle where you put the brush head. It changes color as you increase pressure on your teeth. Blue for no pressure (idle), Green for the right amount and Red for too much pressure. I have to look in the mirror to see it. If you twist the brush head’s bristle area you can see that a rod inside the body of the brush head reciprocates. I’m guessing that the modes listed below use a combination of pressure levels and how far the piston at the end of the power handle mount extends in the brush head body. The farther it extends, the greater the amount of rotation. You press the lower (Mode) button to run though the brushing modes and settings. Use the Power button to select a mode or setting. Settings are shown in the display. Modes are Daily Clean, Sensitive, Gum Care, Intense Clean, Super Sensitive and Tongue Clean. The manual gives a description of each mode. When brushing it will “stutter” every 30 seconds to remind you to change your mouth quadrant and how long you’ve been brushing. It wants you to brush for 2 minutes and if you don’t it displays a face that ranges from frowning (under 2 minutes) to happy for 2 minutes and above. Apparently the App aids with how to brush, where to bush, how long to brush and how to feel after you brush. George Carlin fans will get my phrasing. ;-) Oral-B states in the manual that different brush heads are available for the iO. The iO and the App can be set to remind you when to change brush heads. Every three months assuming you brush twice a day for 2 minutes each time. Brush heads might be a bit large for some people. The manual shows how to clean the iO. Basically Don’t rinse the charger under running water but with everything else it's ok to. The iO comes with a travel case, (charging travel case optional from what I can tell) three brush heads and a charger. The manual states it takes 3 hours to a full charge of a completely depleted unit. The manual also states over charging is prevented by the device so you can place it on the charger when not in use and it will stay topped off without damage. The charger has a magnet that holds the iO on it but it doesn’t take much to knock it off. Do keep that in mind when finding a location to place your charger. The display shows the battery and charging status. Lastly the manual shows how to remove the lithium ion battery for proper disposal at the products end of life. From what I can tell the battery isn’t user replaceable as the manual also states that removing the battery will destroy the product and void the warranty. The iO feels well built and solid to hold and use. It’s expensive but I think you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend it for the performance and results I have gotten with it. Other than the App not talking to my iO I’m very impressed with it. It works like it should without it.

    Dentist clean!

Posted by Ricky Garcia on 9th May 2024

Toothbrushes have come a long way in a very short time. Once you open the box, the contents are very straight forward. You get the toothbrush itself, three heads, a plug in charger, and a carrying case. The setup is extremely simple. When you power it on for the first time, you are prompted to choose a user language, a color for the RGB light, then you attach one of the heads, and off you go. You can pair your toothbrush to your phone via an app if you want. (I skipped this step) The toothbrush is quite intuitive. Once you start brushing, the light will change color depending on how well you're brushing your teeth. Once you're done, it rates your brushing. It's quite an interesting interface. Cleaning is very simple. I ran the toothbrush while it was on under running water, and that's it. I placed the brush back on top of the charging base, and that was that. Once I was done brushing, I seriously felt like I had just left the dentist's office. My teeth felt very clean. Oral-B's engineers and designers did a really great job. This toothbrush is a bit pricey, but in this case, you really do get what you pay for, and that's a great thing!

Posted by Brad Ryan on 3rd May 2024

A smart toothbrush? Yep, it’s here. This will connect to your smartphone and inform your brushing habits and patterns. There are various settings and it features lights that will inform you of over overpressure and when to move to the next section of your teeth. It really is an intuitive toothbrush and one to make brushing something to look forward to

Easy to use, nice disign, the battery lasts quite a long time, even though it was much longer with the older brush.
