    Superb

Posted by Michael Johnson on 21st May 2024

My last food processor is about 20yrs old, and I pull it out a couple of times a year. This new Ninja is a huge step up. They addressed my biggest issue, being water tight, and staying where it is put. My old unit would "walk the counter" when turned on. This Ninja has 4 suction cups on the base, it stay where you turn it on. The silicon ring around the top also makes it leak proof. It has 4 tools included with it, a 3 blade chopper, a bread hook, a slicing tool and a grater. One of the thing I use a food process for all the time is grating fresh Horseradish, something that takes about 30s with a food processor. Another favorite of mine is compound butter, I happen to like gorgonzola butter on my strip steaks. I use 1/2# butter, and 5-6oz of gorgonzola cheese, and either fresh green onions, shallots, rosemary, or fresh basil. Put ingredients in FP on puree, and with IQ support in the Ninja, just wait for it to stop. It will come out in a big soft lump, which you can distribute on parchment paper, and turn into a log. Cut off what you need, when you need it. Making in advance, is a real time saver. In the recipe book that came with the Ninja food processor, was a recipe for a no bake Key Lime Pie. Very easy to make, 5 ingredients + pie shell (which I cheated on and bought pre-made). Combing the ingredients, turn on puree, and after about a minute the Ninja stops itself with a lovely, smooth mixture, that easily filled my pie shell. Chill in fridge for 2+hrs, and its ready to serve. The Ninja IQ function really does a good job, and its pretty quite. The attachments are very sharp, be careful. But they do a great job, they don't come with a case, which would have been nice. The only other function I'd like to see is a self cleaning food processor. But since the Ninja is water tight you can fill it 3/4 of the way with warm soapy water, close it, with the stopper in, and turn on, that as close as it gets to self cleaning. It the best Food Processor I've used outside of a professional kitchen (where I once worked).

    Good but missing parts

Posted by Dr. Madison May on 13th May 2024

This unit completes my ninja kitchen. The blades are perfect for puree and chopping. I thought my blender did a good enough job pureeing but this takes it to another level. Auto iq does a great job of mixing as well. My only issue is it does not come with the spindle for slicing.

Expectations Met from Ninja Once Again!

Posted by Paula Dean on 29th Apr 2024

I have bought many Ninja products and I’m never disappointed. Blades are sharp and holds about a cup more than its competitors. One benefit that you can always count on with Ninja products are its power with a 1000 peak watts. I’ve had it for a day and have already used it twice. One other benefit is that it’s easy to clean. Thanks Ninja for another solid product!

    Large and in Charge

Posted by Linda Moore on 16th Apr 2024

I'm a big fan of Ninja kitchen small appliances. I think overall, they do a fantastic job. I'm a cooking newbie, normally afraid to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. Not only do Ninja products, like this food processor, perform well, but they also include fun recipes to try (not to mention the large swath of recipes available online for these products). IN THE BOX When you open the box you'll find a slicing/shredding disc (it's reversible), a razer sharp shredder, dough mixer, the motor base and the container. It's packaged well, and everything is easy to set up (even without the helpful quick instructions guide). One comment is that this is a pretty large food processor. For some that's a big benefit (and the reason for buying it) as it can prepare/hold a lot. But for others, it's something to keep in mind, especially for small kitchens. It's about as wide as a blender and is taller than you'd think (although I didn't measure it). BUILD QUALITY/LOOKS I have to hand it to Ninja, they have a way of making plastic look good. On the one hand, the blender "feels" somewhat cheap because it is entirely made of plastic. But nonetheless, I think it looks pretty elegant all things considered. I don't keep it on my counter top, but that's because of space, but I wouldn't mind it if I had the space. Point is, it's a nice looking product. And even though it's plastic, it's well built and thoughtfully designed. SETUP AND EASE OF USE In terms of putting the pieces together, it's straightforward. The container locks in, as does the lid, and only one of the three tools will fit in at a time. Obviously, the trick is knowing which one to use when (for those newish to the kitchen like me). But my point is that it's easy to use. There's only seven buttons (and three of them are low high and pulse) which makes using it even easier. Again, for someone like me who is new to cooking with a food processor, having clear and easy to use buttons that match your attachment (i.e. dough button for the dough attachment, chop for the blade attachment) is a big plus. The base has nice suction cups on it to keep it in place when it's operating. This baby moves pretty quick and you need not worry about the processor sliding around your counter. It stays firmly in place. PERFORMANCE This thing rocks in the performance department. I've made several dishes using this (both in the book of recipes included with it) including a vegetable casserole, cookies and pesto. All dishes came out perfect. But what made it so easy, other than the easy to follow directions, was how well the food processor performed. I put in zucchini, squash and tomatoes in the chute (with the slicing disk) and it made quick work of those vegetables, making uniform slices. Not only that, but the large container held it all at once. I didn't have to empty out the container at all, it was large enough to slice and hold several of each. In terms of cutting down prep time, it did that remarkably well. I also made pesto, and the shredder disc shredded the parmesan cheese in not time, and the container was large enough to hold the remaining ingredients. What I was left with was delicious pesto that had a fantastic and consistent texture. I also tried out the dough attachment to make cookies and they too, ended up tasting great. I’m no chef, and I was greatly aided by the recipes that were provided in the box, but I can comfortably say that this food processor can handle pretty much whatever you throw at it (so long as it’s not crushing ice, it specifically says not to do that). CONCLUSION If you are in the market for a food processor, you can’t go wrong with this Ninja professional model. It looks good, albeit a little on the big side, and performs remarkably well. And it is dead simple to operate.

    Ninja doesn’t disappoint

Posted by Luis King on 7th Apr 2024

I tried all the features on the processor and even a little more. I used the blade and shredded zucchini and sliced cucumbers. Very nice even slicing and grating. There were very few pieces left after the grating was done. I puréed blackberries and then added ice cream and milk to make a mean smoothie milk shake right in the processor. I chopped celery, carrots and onions to add to meatloaf. The final thing I tried was making the dough for peanut butter cookies. Wonderful consistency and very fast to mix. This is an excellent addition to my kitchen.
