Pros: Very low temperature, quiet and great performance Cons: Chunky radiator? probably won't fit in some cases if you have water AIO for cpu as well

    Nothing less than SUPRIM

Upgraded from a 3080ti (MSI Gaming X). Honestly, I was very surprised at the performance improvement. The 4090 rips through anything you can throw at it. I currently have it paired with a Ryzen 7700x and Samsung G8 (4K @ 240hz). This is truly an immersive experience. I also have a 1080p 360hz monitor, and as a fellow gamer said "its as smooth as butter". As for the specific model (Suprim Liquid X), I couldn't be more pleased. The cooling is phenominal. Running 4k extreme settings will push it low-mid 50c max. Compared to my Gaming X 3080ti, its half the thickness of the air cooled version (not accounting for the radiator). The radiator simply needs a bolt up, the fans are pre-wired from the factory so you just plug in the pcie 4.0 slot and you are good to go. There is a small bios switch on the side allowing you to change from silent/gaming. I have kept it on gaming the entire time, but it seems pretty quiet to me. I chose to apply a custom fan curve via Afterburner, but it's really not necessary. The radiator fans are non-RGB which is fine with me. I haven't tried, but it looks like you could simply unscrew/disconnect the fans and re-connect some RGB variant if you wanted. There is also a fan on the bottom of the GPU built into the cooler. RGB on the card itself is minimal but clean. The card comes with a custom mouse pad from MSI, which is a nice touch. Perhaps not quite as nice as the championship style ring that ASUS was including in their 30 series, but a more practical gesture IMO. The MSI center doesnt cooperate great with other brands, but the recent LED patch they rolled out seems to help a bit. The factory RGB is the typical rainbow effect. Only downside is the ridiculous adapter cable included (yes the one everyone says will melt/catch fire). If you have a new PCIE 5 PSU then you should be able to go straight from GPU with the new single cable, but most will have to bundle x4 pcie cables somewhere to get this thing juiced. As far as actual power output, The highest I have seen via afterburner monitor is ~520w. If you are an enthusiast look no further than this 4090 Suprim liquid X.

    Beautiful GPU

Posted by Tina Cole on 4th May 2024

So far I love this card, and haven't experienced any of the coil whine issues that are going around. It's a beautiful card, and runs in the mid to low 50's while gaming. I went with the liquid suprim because of its size. It is small enough to fit in my 680X case which I love. It also runs a solid 2780mhz with no overclocking. No complaints so far, and will update if this changes.

Great performance in a small package

Posted by Lisa Ward on 23rd Apr 2024

Great card for those with smaller form factor cases. Build quality is great and the fans are silent under normal loads. This card fit in my ATX case ( Fractal Torrent Compact ) but just be careful about the ATX power adapter sticking out the side.

The Pinnacle of GPUs as now.

Who knows what Nvidia is cheffing up next but this absolute beast can handle literally anything you throw at it. Sure it may be locked at outputting 120hz at 4k but who cares?! Thats already amazing. On full load playing games at 1440p ultra, it easily pushes 120-200 fps depending on the game and stays under 62 degrees celcius (I have the rad setup as push-pull, intake).

    Powerful card

Posted by Michael Johnson on 18th Apr 2024

It is a quite powerful card that does 4k 120 and in some cases above. But that cost is hard to swallow. Thankfully bestbuy is not putting behind some wall and jacking up the price. With fas set at min of 30% the card runs cool even in heavy gaming. Do you nerd this card probably not unless you want 4k ultra with raytracying on. But it is a great card.
