Great for work and play.
The monitor itself is great, superb quality and is great having a usbc input for a laptop, helping reduce the dongle clutter to none. I have had older MSI monitors in the past and they've survived well. Visual quality is gorgeous. Honestly when I first turned it on my eyes struggled to even focus on it, its brightness and colors were very different from my old panel. Worth it! I use the monitor with the KVM feature to swap between personal and work. This generally works ok overall, but there are some quirks to be aware of. - The OSD kvm option seems to only control the keyboard and mouse. As a result, I have it set to 'auto' instead and then swap the input, causing the keyboard and mouse to follow. - The OSD input selection (which can be setup on the buttons direction) is a few presses. Press direction to enter menu, select input, press center to choose. This isn't bad, compared to some monitors. - Using the keyboard shortcut requires software on the PC instead of keyboard intercept by the monitor itself. Windows has the gameintelligence app, which correctly works. However, if you have a mac, there is not any software released by MSI to provide the same option. Instead, you can look at some paid or opensource options that can send commands using DDC/CI (Display Data Channel / Command Interface) as this monitor can be controlled with them. If there was one thing I could have, it would be an update that lets you make one of the directions act as a true kvm toggle. No selecting inputs, just go ahead and toggle back and forth. Even with those quirks, I still enjoy the monitor and recommend it as an option to others and it has already had a positive mark on how I work.

Not going back to regular monitors
I recently swapped out my 49" Samsung OLED G9 for the MSI MPG 491CQP monitor, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer. Here's why I'm so impressed: Performance: The MSI monitor's software is incredibly smooth, making everything from gaming to work tasks feel more responsive and enjoyable. Display Quality: The colors on the MSI monitor are just as vibrant as what I experienced with the Samsung OLED G9. Whether I'm watching movies or playing games, the visuals are immersive and captivating. KVM Functionality: One feature that really stands out is the ability to switch between multiple devices effortlessly. It's made my workflow much smoother and reduced clutter on my desk. Price: Despite its top-notch performance and features, the MSI MPG 491CQP comes in at a more affordable price point compared to similar monitors. It's a great bang for your buck. Overall Impression: I'm thoroughly impressed with the MSI MPG 491CQP monitor. Its performance, features like KVM, and reasonable price make it a clear winner for me. I doubt I'll be going back to "normal" monitors anytime soon after experiencing the difference it makes in my day-to-day usage. Highly recommended!

Great monitor
Overall great monitor that just works. I previously had another brands 49 oled monitor and had nothing but problem. So glad I decided to give MSI a chance as this monitor is awesome. Beautiful display, great blacks, no HDMI issues at all, great connectivity. My only complaints are the frequent pixel refresh screen poping up in the middle of gaiming, I wish it would just run when you turn off monitor. And that I am not able to power a micro computer through the 90w PD of the monitor. PD only works while there is a signal supplied to the monitor, which is a let down because it also makes the kvm switch not that great.

Can't go wrong with MSI's products
I was in the market for an ultrawide monitor for a longtime, and did purchase with another brand. However, due to some QC problems, had to return and began my hunt again. I had (and still currently do, top 2 monitors in photo) MSI monitors before and they have never let me down in terms of quality and durability (survived 3 moves and a little knocking around, they're still going flawlessly), so when I heard MSI was releasing a new lineup with a 49", I was already sold, it was just a matter of getting one when it was available. I was going to buy two (essentially replace out my top monitors), but after my first set from a different brand ruining that experience, I held off. Currently beating myself up for not now after unboxing this and getting it plugged in. For the price, alone, I am blown away from picture quality. I think it's comparable with its competitors, but has the edge given the base pricing (not to mention more dedicated experience in the gaming space versus others). It does have an automatic pixel refresh (since OLED) and I have it set to where when the monitor goes into standby or shuts down is when it will do the refresh automatically; it is initially set for every 4 hours of use up to 16 hours. If I had to given any major critiques, it would be the outer packaging; everything inside was packaged great for the most part; the screen, itself, did not have a plastic protector on the front of it like the other set I had purchased (but seeing that as a MSI standard as my previous ones arrived the same way), but everything worked as should. Outside packaging, the box looked discolored, more pink than red as if it sat in sunlight. Although I cannot attest this is how packaging was purposefully made, made me curious why that transition. One corner of the box was pushed in, but the monitor was encased with styrofoam so zero damage to the monitor at all (this was, likely, out of distributors control and more so deliverer). As of now, we're sitting at a 5/5 for rating solely for the base pricing, this gives this monitor some edge for those wanting to upgrade into the ultrawide monitors as well as OLED. Only time will truly tell how well this monitor will hold up!
