    Great Dual 6 inch Speakers

Posted by Brian Neal on 3rd May 2024

First off, these are NOT 8 inch speakers. They are 6 inch speakers. I'm not sure what marketing person decided to go to the frame is a mystery to me. I've had multiple subs and speakers from multiple vendors, and no one misrepresents speaker size like Klipsch. Speaker size for 50+ years is the actual cone, NOT the surround. I replaced my ancient Bose 401s with these speakers. They are the core of my surround sound system with the Sony projector and 110 inch screen. All that said, they do sound great. The family has all comment at how much better the surround sound is. Much brighter overall. Very satisfied with the purchase overall, just wish they were not represented as something they are not.

    Excellent for home theater

Posted by Gwendolyn Morris on 15th Apr 2024

I built a dedicated theater room as my first project after retirement. I tried many speakers for the front soundstage trying to get the perfect balance between clarity for dialogue, accuracy for soundtrack, and impact for special effects. I avoided the Klipsch brand for most of the search - many people swear by them, but they also have a strong contingent of non-fans, for various reasons. These speakers went on sale, so I listened to the store display, liked what I heard, took a pair home, and found the sound and effect I was looking for. I especially like the fuller and richer sound of the 8" woofers for voices and music compared to the 4 1/2" to 6 1/2" drivers found in the other speakers I tried. These are Klipsch's entry-level for towers but they provide excellent clarity for voices and music and excellent mid-bass punch. They sound just as good when they whisper as when they pound. It seems where Klipsch cut corners is in the cheaper wood, finish and hardware, but in the corner of a dark room, they look fine Powered by a Denon AVR coupled to a Marantz power amp.

    Great product

These sound great. Upgraded from small bookshelf Polk Audio speakers since I already had the Klipsch sub. They are pretty big, but look great in my setup.

Top of the line at affordable prices

Posted by Gregory Ramos on 10th Apr 2024

Wow... Top of the line at affordable prices. What could be better? This speaker set stands out above the rest. Sleek slim black cabinet that adds class looks to quality sound. I am beyond impressed. Clear precise sound at low volume as well as louder settings. I hear things on CDs that I never knew was there with my previous Bose system. Guests are constantly commenting on how great they look and sound. I once thought this type of quality was only available at high end stores. Klipsch found a way to give the best sound and appearance at a price that does not break the bank. Combine great pricing with a store like BestBuy policy of standing behind what they sell and you have a win win situation. If you want a speaker system that is affordable and something you will be proud to have in your home , then these speakers are for you. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

Very good speakers for the price.

Posted by Dr. Rose Brown on 9th Apr 2024

As many have noted, these play very loud and efficient. For sure, the soundstage is quite impressive as the highs are very well dispersed given the horn design. However, as enthusiastic as I was about the dual 8" woofers, it simply doesn't put out the clean bass that my JBL studio monitors do or even my old classic Fishers' with 15" woofers (nor my Infinity SM's not shown here). Inherently, trying to keep the dual woofers in phase is no easy task. The other item which comes up is a lack of a separate mid-range driver so the key critical vocals have to be handled some-what compromised by the woofers and the tweeter. Despite these limitations, still a very good listening experience particularly given these were obtained at half price pre-Thanksgiving sales. Beautiful looking speakers though and still very heavy but seems somewhat dwarfed by my JBL's, Infinity's and Fishers (wish they weren't so deep at over 17").......
