Honeywell evaporative air coolers do not require power hungry components like compressors. The low power consumption (only 220 watts) translates into significant savings on energy bills compared to using air conditioners. Just unpack, add water/ice, plug it in, and use. For outdoor use it is weather resistant, UV protected and has an air-throw up to 12 yards. For indoor use, place near an open door or window in an area up to 850 square feet with adequate cross ventilation. For those living in more humid climates, consider portable air conditioning units or window air conditioners for indoor use.

Great for outdoor cooling
I was very unsure if this model would satisfy my needs for out door cooling but I am very happy to say the money was well spent on this item.

Cool
We absolutely love this cooler! For hot or humid days on our patio in Texas this fan does a great job. We especially love the oscillating feature so everyone gets to enjoy.

Cool done well
This cooler when placed properly in our non-air conditioned porch dropped the temperature by 20 degrees even in the 90 degree heat and humidity of a Florida summer. Now we can spend more time out there.

Simple Solution to a BIG problem
We recently remodelled a 4000 sq ft warehouse and turned it into a Dog Boarding Play Area. I was using other forms of coolers and they were not keeping up with the panting and heat expelled by the playful hounds. I added this to the room (even with 10 foot ceilings) it brought the temperature down within minutes. Moves a lot of air, circulates, and works fantastically. I am going back onto the website to buy another one for my house.

You literally have to be right in front of this cooler for it to feel good. Does not cool the whole room.
