    An outstanding upgrade!

Posted by Alexander Foley on 12th May 2024

My wife and I decided it was time for a living room TV upgrade, and what a transformation! After researching, we stumbled upon the U7 at an unbeatable price – and it's significantly larger than our old one. The moment we turned it on, we were blown away by the clarity and vibrancy of the colors. Plus, the audio quality is simply phenomenal. We tested it out by watching Coachella Live on YouTube, and it felt like we were right there in the crowd. The U7 truly exceeded our expectations.

    Best TV for the Money

Posted by Nicholas Ayers on 11th May 2024

This might not be the best TV money can buy but by far it is the best TV for the money spent - No complaints - great picture and the picture is bright - I bought this for my outside TV under my Gazebo and the picture mode is VIVID and the colors are still good and not washed out

    Hisense UN7.

Picked this up today due to the Memorial Day sale. The brightness is the first thing I'll mention. It's insanely bright. Even in the less vivid and naturally brighter modes, it's still bright. I mainly picked this up for gaming, watching YouTube and sports. I did play some games on the Xbox series X and it looked insanely good. I haven't played a lot or gotten more time with the settings to play around with it, but so far, it's an upgrade over the previous TV.

Great for a variety of video needs.

The Hisense mini-LED is an excellent choice for your living room, den, or space that would see multiple users. It has a varied array of features and settings that are sure to satisfy all but those with the most demanding of viewing needs (high end PC gaming needs come to mind). But even then, comparing it to a true high end pc monitor is unfair but it can definitely be used as one in a pinch. Out of the box the tv comes in nice and rich without being over saturated. Images are punchy without looking artificial. Skin tones and skylines look great. The auto dim feature is great. It finds a nice level of brightness and isn't overzealous in its application. I tried this unit in two different light conditions. TV opposite wall of a large window and then the reverse, TV with its back directly to the large window and both time the tv accurately dimmed the brightness well. And with the 144hz refresh rate, live sports come in nice and smooth, very easy to track the ball. It goes without saying that console gaming benefits from the 144hz refresh rate. The speakers and built-in subwoofer fill the room and its capable enough to separate and distinguish various levels and details in even the most frenetic of action scenes. The TV offers a bevy of options that all enrich and buttress almost all demands a viewer might need from gaming to cinematic experiences. From little quality of life settings and features like a backlit remote and Google account settings to fine tuning audio and visual, the Hisense left me impressed.

    I highly recommend!

This unit is an absolute must buy for anyone wanting a top of the line viewing experience without breaking the bank to get it. I have Sony's very best tv ever produced (Sony - 55" Class - OLED - A9F Master Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR) that originally cost me over $3500 and this $650 Hisense is even better in my opinion. You get the blackest blacks as with OLED and brightest brights as with QLED all in a single unit. Picture clarity and colors are next generation! I highly recommend!

High End Features Without Breaking the Bank

Posted by Angela Montoya on 20th Apr 2024

Over the past few years Hisense has become one of my favorite TV brands. They bring a mix of quality and affordability. The features on this U8 model were very impressive. Here are my thoughts. Pros: - Most newer TVs almost always require a soundbar or other audio system because of cheap or lackluster speakers. This Hisense model not only has impressive audio, but it also has a built in subwoofer that provides very good bass. I watched a few music videos over the past few days and loved the sound quality. - The picture quality is fantastic (check my photo of a 4k video). Movies and TV shows all looked great. I was even able to stream some older programs in 4:3 aspect ratio and the picture appeared enhanced to look HD via upscaling. - Packaging was solid. You always worry about screen damage when a TV is delivered, but they did a good job keeping this package secure and undamaged. The protective film and tape that covered the screen was easy to remove and ensured a flawless screen upon delivery. - I love the remote that this TV came with. It's a good size and weight, and also has back-lighting on the buttons so you can see them in a dark room. But the best thing is, the back-lighting pops on as soon as you pick up the remote as it senses motion. This way, you don't have to press a random button to see the buttons light up and possibly mess up what you were watching. Cons: - Certain apps will not be available to you on this smart TV. While I get that YouTube TV is a competitor to other services that provide live TV streaming, it's unfortunate that I have to hook up a secondary device in order to stream those services. You'll still have access to all the major streamers like Netflix, Peacock, MAX, Amazon Prime etc, but don't count on having access to apps for cable companies that provide a live TV streaming service. I'll need to hook up a Roku, Apple TV, or Xbox to this TV in order to use my live streaming TV service. This is a great television. I recommend it for folks that are looking for mid to high end features and also don't want to spend a ton of money. Hisense has done a great job keeping this model affordable while providing great picture and sound.

    Best value for your dollar

Posted by Scott Manning PhD on 18th Apr 2024

Bought this to replace my 8 year old Sony 49" LED in my Bedroom. My comparisons are going to be against that TV unless otherwise stated. PROS; Excellent color accuracy out of the box. Very little needed to be changed in the picture settings to get this looking it's best. Excellent contrast ratio, much better than my old Sony if not quite as good as my LG OLED. Great image processing. I know most professional reviews advise to turn it off but my bedroom is south facing so the lighting changes considerably throughout the day. The TV does great with both 4K and 1080p content. CONS: Picture quality drops off considerably when viewing more than 30° off center, I would think twice about having this as a living room TV for most setups. SD content upscaling is only decent, not as good as my old Sony and no where near the AI upscaling offered by my Nvidia Shield. However most people won't need to worry as almost all content is 720p or more The processor is slow, slower than even the 8 year old Sony when all the image processing parameters are engaged. This won't be an issue for most people as I only encountered processing bottlenecks when playing high bitrate 4K HDR or Dolby Vision content via Plex from an external HD drive. And even then it was only with video known to tax the processor, though it should be said my Google Chromecast handled the same content no problem. I bought this for $600 do the value can't be beat. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend.

    great tv for the price

Posted by Sarah Smith on 16th Apr 2024

The best thing I like about this tv is it’s 4k120 support, I had no issues with using it with my computer, Even 144hz works when I select it in games. HDR works and looks so much better on this tv, then it ever did with my old TV that I upgrade from. I found that using G-sync compatible mode on my gpu, worked very well with the U7N, I didn’t see or have any issues when I used G-sync. My TV had a perfect white screen, I also didn’t have any dead pixels which surprise me, so no issue there, I didn’t even have issues with black light bleeding. But that just with my unit. The sound quality to me was very good, but it could be better, as there were times where voices in movies or tv shows at random was hard to hear and wasn't clear. Other times it was ok. The only fix to this was getting a sound bar. EARC worked without a problem with my soundbar, the only thing that I didn’t like was the volume numbers not showing up when a soundbar was connected, making you have to look at the sound bar led to get the volume level. Having Two 4k144hz HDMI is very useful, but honestly I wish all the HDMI ports where 4k144khz and not just two of them. The stand was a little bit of a pain to install on the tv, it was confusing at times on which leg goes where, and sliding the flat part on it took up most of the time, as I had to get it on there right. TV was very light which made it easy to lift up to sat on the tv stand. The only issue I had that really was an issue was the UI being laggy at times. that was the only issue i had. Over all I like the TV so much better then my old one that I had before.
