Excellent portable air conditioner
This is the second portable air conditioner I've purchased. The first (about six years ago) was absolutely worthless and I ended up giving it away. I was reluctant to purchase another but my wife convinced me that we needed one for our bedroom. I researched the top models and found Emerson the best quality for the price. We love it. It cools quickly and quietly.

Something wrong
This unit is going to be returned and exchanged for another one. From day one I know this unit was not right. Makes a rattling and vibrating noise. Screw fell out from bottom of unit so what else is wrong? Geek Squad came on 8/15 and said they don't repair these units so because I took out protection plan I can bring it back so that's what I intend to do. Not happy with this at all.

Loud
The AC does its job but it was a little too loud. Used towel as a cushion to decrease the noise made by vibrations on hard wood floor.

Works fine but a shipping mishap
Though the AC seems to cool as advertised, the downgrade in my rating is due to the condition of the unit when delivered. One of the four plastic caster wheels was cracked. Seeing that it was only attached by two screws, I figured the company could send me a replacement caster and I'd attach it. When I called the customer service number printed on the box and owner's manual, the representative said they no longer service Emerson products. She said the contract with them is no longer valid and they don't have a name or phone number of a new customer service company. Because the unit is fairly heavy, I did not want to lug it into a Best Buy store to return it. Instead I am making do with a 3 legged unit.
