Loaded with custom technologies, the Definitive Technology Descend DN12 is a compact, digitally optimized subwoofer designed for movies and music. It is outfitted with dual 12" Bass Radiators that are pressure coupled to the 12" driver and 1500W peak Class H amplification that deliver powerful bass with amazing speed, musicality, and control even at 25Hz. Featuring the unique 3XR Architecture with three-times the bass-producing surface area of traditional subwoofers, the DN12 performs like a 15" sub and delivers louder and clearer lows without any unwanted port noise distortion. Featuring Intelligent Phase Control enables you to tune the subwoofer to flawlessly blend with your home theater system. Built-in controls allow adjust volume, low pass filter, EQs modes (Flat, Deep and Loud), and phase control (0/180°) for optimum bass levels. A perfect complement to any home theater system, you can easily connect the DN12 via LFE or stereo line level RCA inputs (cables not included). Add another, same-model subwoofer to your home audio set up to dramatically improve realism, smooth out peaks and dips, as well as to get an even bass response for all your movies and music. Booooooom!!!!
Simply amazing!!! No sound distortion whatsoever! Just cripsy sound with a whole lot of bass!! I would highly recommend to anyone looking to beef up their home theatre sytem! The only question is, Can you handle it!?

Skip to Another Sub
I would skip on this subwoofer, thought it would be better than having 2 DN10's but it wasnt. Had sub volume all the way up and barely heard anything from the sub. It may have been a faulty sub, I don't know. I wasn't my receiver (Arcam AVR5) cause it worked great with the 2x DN10's (shakes my whole apartment, even 1x by itself). Bought an open box floor model, looked brand new like if it were straight from production.

Excellent sound
I’m partial to Def Tech speakers and this aesthetically and sonically goes well with my CS 9080, BP 9040s, BP 9020s and legacy BP 7006s so my 7.1 base layer is complete. I might connect the LFE to my 7006s to get 7.3 but may wait and get a mini DSP and play around with it.

Definitive Technology DN Series does not disappoint! These subwoofers paired with my BP9080s provide the quality sound, I’ve come to expect along with the low end bass, DT has been know for. Once of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I don’t regret the purchase!

Beautifully designed subwoofer, very heavy and well-built. Comes with a simple but nice remote that is straightforward and easy to use. The bass is amazing, you can both feel and hear the quality it puts out, very pleased.

Great DefTech Subwoofers
I have 2 of these subwoofer in my home theater set up. I bought the first one last November, and my second one last month. And let me tell you, they fill in the medium sized room with more than enough bass, with not even half the power. They were calibrated into my home theater system with Denon's Audessey, and they sound great. Punchy, deep and smooth. Definitely recommend for either movie watching, video gaming, music listening, or all together. Especially, if you already have a Def Tech speaker set up.
