    Great quality gaming keyboard!

Posted by Mr. Nicholas Richardson III on 8th Apr 2024

as a membrane keyboard user (logitech/microsoft) because they were cheaper in price. i decided to check this one out and after checking out reviews i made my decision and got this one since it was also on sale. this is my first gaming mechanical keyboard, i already had corsair's mouse and mouse pad. so i decided to complete the look with this keyboard. the noise this keyboard makes when i type or game doesn't bother me. but others might feel different. this keyboard comes with a detachable wrist support and it also comes with textured performance keycaps and puller for those that game or just want a different look. and yes! it requires 2 USB ports. you also will need to download corsair's iCUE software to customized this keyboard or to turn off the lights.

No Clickety Clack! Love color combinations, too!

Posted by Donna Peterson on 2nd Apr 2024

This is the first time I have experienced this brand and I must say that I love it. I'm not a gamer, by any means. In fact, I don't play any games at all. I bought this keyboard because it helps me to see when I'm working at night. Since the shelter in place order, I have been working from home and I find that I work more at night than I do during the day. So, when I don't want to have the lights on full brightness, this helps me to make sure I am on the right keys. I really like that I can change the color combination. My laptop has built in lights, but they are white and it's a bit irritating when I'm working in a dark room. This way, I can choose a soothing color or leave it in it's muli-color state. It has various settings and the lights have different motion modes to choose from. I prefer the slow sweeping motion. One thing that I had no clue about, even though I read it before buying it is the low profile keys. I am not a fan of this. There is no room for error with this type of keyboard. So, for those who are not aware, it means that the keys are not as high as a regular keyboard and the distance for the key to travel, when pressed, is much less than the typical keyboard. So, this means you can barely touch a key and that letter will pop up on your screen immediately. So, for example, if I mean to strike the letter "J" and I slightly touch the "H", both letters will show up! This creates so many typos. I have long fingers and they tend to travel more, so the likelihood of me accidentally touching other keys is high. So, if you are not precise in your key strokes, the low profile keyboard may not be for you. I do however like that this keyboard does not clickety clack like the previous gaming back-lit keyboard I had. OMG, it was atrocious all the noise I would make, while working at night. This one is fairly quiet and I really like that. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase. I can't give any less of a score than 5 stars. The low profile does what it's supposed to do, which is take less time and effort to press a key for a result. I simply didn't know what that meant in terms of practical work usage. I would suspect this keyboard would be gamers heaven. Oh! It also has a usb port on the back of the keyboard where you can plug in your mouse, if that's something you would like. I personally use it for a small USB-C cable for my phone. You still have to plug in the additional usb cable that is on the keyboard, to the back of your computer, so you can have connection/power to to the USB port @ the back of the keyboard, as you can see in the pictures.
