    Good Camera for Travel

Posted by Juan Holloway on 18th May 2024

This camera is small and lightweight. It easily fits in a pants pocket or purse (even a very small purse). I was very happy with how easy it was to carry around and use when traveling. I wish it came with a case though. The large, bright screen makes it easy to compose pictures. Anyone familiar with the Canon Rebel series would find the menus on this camera similar and easy to use. The camera gives you a lot of control in manual settings, but I also found the AUTO mode to be quite effective for most of my needs. I am very impressed with the photo quality, especially the accuracy of colors, like a blue sky. (I have seen other cameras "wash out" a blue sky but not this camera.) The camera also does an excellent job in scenes with high contrast. The photos come out great and require little or no editing. Battery life is excellent and I like that the charger does not have a cord. One less cord to drag around. The charger's prongs fold up, too, so it is very portable. One minor complaint is that I wish the lens had a wider angle in order to take more impressive landscape photos. Another complaint, which causes me to knock one star off the rating, is that the wifi is very clunky. It requires you to download an app onto your computer and sign up for a Canon image service. I would have expected to only need to download an app. Not create some kind of account. The wifi is a useless feature to me and I am happy to continue putting the SD card into my computer or printer slot. Overall this was a great purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a very portable little camera that has a good zoom and takes great pictures. It is good for travel because it does a great job in a variety of shots, whether you are taking landscape photos, close-ups, or photos of people. I brought this camera along on a trip where I also used my iPhone 6s for some pictures. The Canon ELPH 360 took better pictures, hands-down.

Camera is great… battery life is not

Posted by Jasmine Griffin on 15th May 2024

I charged the camera for about a day cause I didn’t plan to use it until the day after. Literally took like 5 photos to just try it out and get the hang of it.. try to use it the next day and it’s dead? My canon eos50 battery lasts for 3 events in a month until I have to charge it (guesstimating but it’s true) Camera takes great pictures love that it fits in my small bags not bulky like my eos. An option to have the flash always on would be awesome. But it’s super cute! Definitely worth it. And I love you can add the date and time stamp. And yes I will be buying extra batteries lol

    Great camera

Love this camera - high quality but still has that classic digital camera vintage feel. It also smoothes your skin way more than the iPhone.

    Great camera

Used it for the first time on vacation. Was actually shocked at how well the zoom worked. Picked up the name of a beach grounded boat that was at least 1/2 mile away. All of our pictures turned out great

    Recent Shots

The camera is light and compact, it is a replacement for my previous model that I had had for 7 years. It has travelled the world and fits nicely into your pocket. It is an unassuming camera but takes some great pictures. I am happy with my new camera.

    Canon did it again!

Posted by Melissa Hernandez on 24th Apr 2024

Great product! I've owned a few ELPH cameras through the years and this one is as great as the others! Good features for a $210 point-and-shoot camera. Smartphone cameras are catching up in quality BUT Point-and-Shoot cameras are still better because they have a physical zoom lens. This camera has great photo quality, burst mode at about 7 shots a second, good low-light images, decent battery life(Make sure you have at least 2 spare batteries if you're going to be taking photos all day. And it's small and slim which it will easily fit in a pocket or in a small case with spare batteries attached to a belt loop. Overall, a great compact camera. I definitely recommend the ELPH 360 HS over the ELPH 180 or 190 BECAUSE of the HS system, image stabilization(Especially when recording video) It's definitely worth the extra $40 or so. Canon has definitely dominated this market for years and will likely continue to do so for years to come.

Easy to Use and Easy to Carry

Posted by Jessica Hammond on 19th Apr 2024

I have several PowerShot SX's and I like them. But I've been cycling a lot lately and I wanted something smaller and lighter. I didn't expect to find it to have almost twice the Megapixels as my last SX so that was a pleasant surprise. If you're use to using PowerShot then the User Interface is about the same thing. Design choices come down to compromises. I would have preferred a screen that tilts up but I like getting so much picture taking power in something smaller than my hand with a good image stabilizer capability. I really like being able to carry this little guy around my neck or tucked into a little gadget bag on the bike. I haven't considered mounting it on the bike because I think that the vibrations may be a little harsh for it. I like to stop to take a drink and shoot a few pictures and then attach the images to my ride maps on MyMaps.
