    Meh it's awesome.

Wanted a woofer that would simulate an earthquake. So far both of my neighbors houses have fallen down and we are on our 4th trip to Lowes to repair our drywall. 10/10 would recommend.

Unbeatable quality and performance in a surprising

A few things make this sub stand out in my mind. First the build quality is exceptional. It looks great and sounds every bit as good. Second, it’s dual opposing 12s in a sealed enclosure. Output is more consistent with a single 15 or 16 inch sub but because it’s sealed it doesn’t require a refrigerator sized cabinet. It’s much smaller than ported subs with similar output. In other words it fits much better into my living space and looks elegant. There are certainly cheaper subs out there and some of them will perform as well as this one but there are generally trade offs in build quality, size, power or speed. This sub has the best balance of all of these factors as far as I am concerned. If you are looking for LFE for movies only, you can get away with cheaper alternatives. If music is equally important however, you won’t find a better alternative. It does LFE and music equally well.

Rated down to 8 Hz. ‘Nough said.

This thing is an absolute monster of a sub— but not in size. In fact, it’s considerably smaller than the well-rated SVS 16 Ultra it replaced. And there’s no comparison in output between the two. That’s to be expected, I suppose, because they’re not direct competitors; this B&W is twice the price. I simply mention it to give you idea of how much “more” you get when you go “big.” And how much more? Oh, Nellie! I’m hearing audible protests in the way of rattling from furniture, clocks, wall hangings, and other items in my house I’ve yet to identify. And what’s so notable is how effortlessly it manages to reproduce sub-sonic frequencies. You’ll be watching an otherwise uneventful scene—a car in the background driving past, for example—and your chest (and some part of the house) will shake with such ferocity, I’m left wondering what just happened. Bottom line is this: When you get a call from the U.S. Navy telling you to knock it off, you know you’ve entered the big leagues—and I’m on their speed dial.
