    Excellent speaker

Purchased a few years back despite my wife's objection. Now she loves it and claimed BEST PURCHASE EVER! She also mentioned that I have ruined music to listen on regular speakers ... At first I was skeptical about the speaker cables, but boy, it does make a difference! Yes a pair of these speakers is pricey, however with a B&W subwoofer (designed with the 805 D3 in mind) and a B&W sister company Rotel Integrated Amplifier (designed with the 805 D3 in mind) the sound is fantastic!

I truly amazing set of speakers

These speakers are really amazing and I personally own them. I have sampled the newer 805 D4. The 805 D3 hold their own quite well. I would say maybe there is a 10 to 13% improvement over the D3 but not worth the $8000 asking price not even counting the speaker stands. D3 are worth their asking price especially now that you have a successor to the D3 costing so much more. I highly recommend this speaker if you truly want an amazing revealing sound for your music very much I consider these among the very best??

    Be Advised!

I auditioned these speakers in the Pines store a month ago, and have gone 2 more times to listen to different genres of music and these are the apex speakers in the bookshelf category. These are the absolute best speakers I've heard and I though the 705 and the CM6 before them were exceptional. Problem is the $6000 price tag, but if you can swing it, go for it because these things will beat some the tower speakers in the same room! I can't believe the amazing detail at higher volumes these beasts have. They are power hogs so you'll need an external amp with a lot of power to drive these speakers. Best I've heard for stereo 2 channel setup, period. Breathtaking musical reproduction without any coloration of the original sound recording.
