Features
1" Carbon Dome Tweeter Pinpoint imaging accuracy and detail resulting from a Carbon Coating on our aluminum Double Dome Tweeter. The closest performance to our Diamond Dome Tweeters.
Solid Body Tweeter Milled from a solid block of aluminum, the solid body tweeter housing design creates an acoustically optimized housing for the tweeter – one that’s exceptionally inert and resistant to resonances. You'll enjoy smooth and clear highs.
6" Continuum Midrange Continnum is a woven material that blends control with flexibility. The result is breathtaking clarity right where you need it most- the midrange. Hear voices, guitars and other instruments in a whole new way.
Aerofoil Bass Drivers Bass drivers need to be light, stiff and not ring like a bell. Aerofoil features incredibly light materials molded into a shape resembling an airplane wing for optimal rigidity and damping. Instead of hearing one-note bass, you'll hear colors and textures with power and control
Driver Decoupling Decoupling places a shock-absorber between the cabinet and drivers to short circuit detail smearing distortion. The result is greater clarity and pinpoint imaging by reducing distortions that soften and blur what you hear.
3- Way Design Drivers are optimized for their specialized roles in reproducing high frequencies, mid frequencies and low frequencies. This results in better performance for all sounds.
Flowport Reduces air turbulence for clearer bass by dimpling the flared port.
Magnetic grille Remains acoustically transparent while protecting the speaker's components.

True to the name - Crisp sound

Posted by Mark Sanders on 25th Jun 2024

These speakers have been a dream for me for a long time. Saw them on sale at my local Bestbuy and picked them. It was an impulse purchase as my old Polk was working great. But I can see the difference as the lows and highs are way clearer. They are perfectly matched with mu B&W center channel.

    Amazing sound worth every penny

Posted by Stephen Mccarthy on 23rd Jun 2024

I initially purchased a pair of B&W 684 S2, which were quite all right but did not exceed my expectations. Decided to do a lot more research and the outstanding staff at the service department of Best Buy allowed me to replace them with these wonderful speakers. Significant difference in mid and high response, improved bass, clarity, and separation. I think those Brits know what they're doing. I am using a McIntosh MAC6700 receiver to drive these speakers, with the lower end handled by a Velodyne SPL-2 10" sub. I understand the recommendation to 'break them in' for 70 hours before each one performs to its fullest potential. Nonetheless, the sound is amazing right out of the box. I very highly recommend these puppies. You will not be disappointed.

    welcome to audiophile land!

These are replacing a pair of NHT 2.5is which have always sounded amazing. However, the B&W 703 S2 just blow me away. Pinpoint imaging and a midrange to die for! Highly recommended!!!!

A Bow to Bowers and Wilkins

Posted by Natasha Turner on 20th Jun 2024

Worthwhile investment. These speakers deliver for the discerning ear that expects clear highs, lows, mids, and everything in-between. I am enjoying re-listening to songs and movies, experiencing them in a new light.

    Great clarity

Posted by Wendy Gomez on 12th Jun 2024

These speakers sound awesome but I have found them to be a little limited on the low end but the mids and highs are beautiful. I listen to a lot of rock and acoustic music and am finding I can hear instruments in songs that I had never heard before. The sound is very clear and crisp. I did add 2 SVS SB1000 subs that are set very quietly to add more low depth. I find I need this when listening to my more heavy rock albums. My hunch would be that these are not needed with acoustic, jazz or classical. The speakers are hooked up to a Marantz PM7000N with 2 subs as well. My listening is pretty evenly split between phono and streaming. These speakers are used for an audio only setup and no television.

    Beautiful looks and sound

What can I say, you definitely get what you pay for. While these speakers aren’t cheap, they’re definitely well made, look beautiful, and sound amazing. If you can afford them, they’re a must for any entertainment space.

    Wonderfully musical and beautiful speakers

Posted by Jason Horton on 3rd Jun 2024

Outstanding speakers. Very balanced and full sound, a lot of detail and great soundstage, but still a warm sound. Zero complaints. If I was using them for a video set up, I might add a subwoofer, but for any music reproduction, that's absolutely unnecessary. They fill a large room. The finish on the cabinets is gorgeous. Very elegant. If you've got the room and the budget, these are a great choice. I have a pair of B&W 683 S2s in another room, which I also like, but these are a worthy and noticeable upgrade.

    An exceptional example of Sound

Posted by Angela Gonzalez on 23rd May 2024

I waited thirteenth years for this upgrade. It's a wall of sound. I could write more, but does it matter? Sound is subjective, and you probably already have something in mind. This worked for me.

B&W a home theater must have

Posted by Janice Jackson on 23rd May 2024

B&W is a high quality speaker for music and movie theater watching. These 703 S2 replaced my older 683 S2 and the cabinet material along with the speakers, produce a great sound to fill my listening area. The piano black is an awesome look in any living room.
