    Fits Corsair 4000x case

Posted by Amanda Lewis on 23rd Apr 2024

Fits Corsair 4000x case with 2 cm to spare. I read and saw many complaints about coil whine. However for me its whisper quiet in my case. Bought a Corsair Rm1200x Shift power supply to feed it as well. I've seen and heard that bad power supplies can lead to coil whine so I made sure I had enough juice. Ran Nvidia automatic tuning and I see get 2910MHz and 400ish watts of power running triple screens at 4k 144hz HDR VRR 8 Bit Full range RGB. Sim Racing: Previously had a 3080. My little 3080 was able to run triple screens 4k 60hz HDR + VRR + GSYNC on Assetto Corsa, ACC, Automobilista 2, and Iracing without DLSS. All of them playable without screen tearing. F1 22 brought my 3080 to its knees. Had to use DLSS with it. Upgraded to Asus 4090 and triple Hisense 55" U7K's. I'm running them at 4k 144hz HDR VRR 8 Bit Full range RGB. Assetto Corsa, ACC, Automobilista 2, F1 22 and 23, and Iracing all high or epic settings without DLSS. Biggest improvements were Assetto Corsa. I was able to run Pure and increased other settings. Sometimes I get quick glimpses of feeling like I'm really on the road chasing a car down. ACC is much better too. I don't have to use the generic trees or shadows anymore. Trees look much better and cars don't look like they're floating anymore. Mirrors look better. Automobilista 2 is where the 4090 shines. AMS2 just looks absolutely like eye candy. Especially if you change the time settings to progress faster and you see the skies go from day to night. Yeah buddy! F1 22 and 23 much more playable without screen tearing and now I can use ray tracing. Ray tracing was a big plus for me. F1 reflections are eye candy too. Iracing just has a more detailed environment. Other games. Amazing Spider-Man with all epics settings is what an 80s gamer kid dreams of. Microsoft Flight Simulator in VR is much more smoother. F1 22 in VR Epic settings is smooth as butter. Have yet to try ACC in VR. That will really tell me alot. Geez that game is so bad in VR. I was kind of scared of spending $2k but after all the improvements I've made in triple screen racing it makes me think "I couldve been doing this sooner when it was cheaper too". My advice, if you can, DO IT! You're missing out!

    Blazing fast. Quite the investment.

Certainly stands up to its name and pricepoint. Pretty much handles everything I throw at it with gusto though. Pushes my LG C1 just like I wanted it to. Paired with a 5800x3d. **make sure to have three PCIE cables available, had to order an extra myself**

    Good Card, but…..

Posted by Deborah Hanson on 12th Apr 2024

The GPU is great. But, Best Buy doesn’t offer a protection plan this GPU and while talking with a customer service employee at my local Best Buy was told Best Buy Total wouldn’t cover the GPU either, or any GPU they carry after checking in the system. Phone customer service should have provided me with this information instead of directing me to go add a plan in store. Or possibly have this information available on or before purchase though the app or online via disclaimer ( mainly due to Best Buy Total members not being able to receive service on these GPUs).

    Thing runs cool & quiet

Posted by Emily Estrada on 10th Apr 2024

I originally bought a XFX 7900xtx. Thing sounded like a jet engine. The 7900xtx had high idle power draw "100-140W" & GPU vram would stay maxed out if you had 2 or monitors plugged in. Couldn't play VR because the performance so bad & the color profile was off as well. The 4090 solved every problem I was having. Thing runs cool & quiet. Being part of ADM felt like I signed up for some beta program. Never again!

    Future Proof

Posted by Laura Schroeder on 9th Apr 2024

I purchased this because i know that this will take my computer to the Next Gen capabilities. However, the sheer price is daunting, but worth it. I ended up having to part with it because of the price. Maybe the will price will come down and maybe i will be able to afford this as it is qorth every dollar that it currently cost with its stats. If you can afford to purchase this you will not regret it and should make the leap of faith while supplies are in stock as this will take you several years down the road without a need to upgrade. Future proof your setup ASAP!!

    Overkill

Posted by Vanessa Hanson on 7th Apr 2024

This graphics card is literally the best at this time. Performance in 4k is amazing compared to my 3080ti. Temps are alot better than the 3080ti also. In starfield with everything maxed out dlss quality frame gen on, i get about 105fps average. The lowest i saw was 92. The max temps were only 60 degrees. Which is crazy. There is also zero noticeable coil whine while playing games. All 4090 perform the same when it comes to gaming. The tuf is the best looking card by far. Build quality is very good. If you're buying this card make sure you have enough space in your Case. I only gave 4 stars because of the price otherwise it'd be 5 stars. I'd definitely recommend this card if you're in the market for a high quality card.

    Asus Tuf 4090

Has worked amazingly and preformed even better with extended gaming sessions. I have not heard any cool wind and seems to be pretty quite for the most part.
