Product Description
In competitive gaming, every frame matters. Introducing Acer's SH272U gaming monitor - the WQHD resolution monitor that can keep up with your game play. Through AMD FreeSync technology, the game's frame rate is determined by your graphics card, not the fixed refresh rate of the monitor, giving you a serious competitive edge. Plus, users can enjoy comfortable viewing experience while gaming via flicker-less and low dimming display. The design saves space on your desk and lets you place multiple monitors side by side to build a seamless big-screen display.

Features
Vibrant Images The SH272U 27" monitor with 2560 x 1440 WQHD resolution in a 16:9 aspect ratio presents stunning, high quality images with excellent detail. The zero-frame design provides maximum visibility of the screen from edge-to-edge, while the stylish base, with its pattern of concentric circles, looks great wherever it’s placed.
ZeroFrame Design With a SH272U monitor, you’ll want to see as much of the display as possible. Get more monitor real estate with the near bezel-less design, allowing you to see more and do more. The ZeroFrame design lets you place multiple monitors next to each other for a seamless, almost uninterrupted view.
AMD FreeSync Technology Say “goodbye” to stuttering and tearing. With AMD FreeSync, the monitor’s frames are synced with the graphics card’s frames, which eliminates screen tearing and provide the smoothest gaming experience.
Responsive Fast response time of 1ms enhances the experience. No matter the fast-moving action or any dramatic transitions will be all rendered smoothly without the annoying effects of smearing or ghosting. The 100Hz refresh rate speeds up the frames per second to deliver smooth 2D motion scenes.
ErgoStand Acer SH272U has an ergonomically-designed stand with -5° to 25° tilt, +/-360° swivel and a 3.15" height adjustment so you can always find that ideal viewing position. A quick-release design lets you separate the monitor from its stand so it can be VESA wall-mounted.
Eye Safety First Stay in the fight for hours with Acer EyeProtect’s Flicker-less, Blue Light Filter, ComfyView and Low-dimming technology. These features take into consideration prolonged usage and minimizes eye-strain from long gaming sessions.

Great for home use. I want to play PS4 Games on that. But the sound quality is not up to the mark

Good QHD monitor. Speaker Buzz
Solid picture quality for a QHD monitor at this price point. The negative, the internal speakers have to be muted to prevent an audible hum/buzz. If you will rely on the speakers, you may want to look at something else.

Great value 2560 x 1440 monitor, some speaker buzz
At the time of my purchase, this was the cheapest QHD or WQHD (2560 x 1440 res) monitor available on Best Buy for $150. Additionally, it has a 100hz refresh rate and built-in speakers, which competing monitors of the same resolution don't have at this price point. I have not tested color correctness on this monitor, but for general use, the monitor looks great. The only reason I removed a star is for the quality of the built-in speakers. Refresh Rate: I tested the monitor with normal use and with some video games, and found that some games will flicker on the screen if attempting to use an FPS cap setting. This was easily fixed by going into the monitor's settings and disabling AMD FreeSync. After this, I haven't had a problem and the 100hz refresh looks great. Resolution: The 2560 x 1440 resolution makes work a lot easier with the programs I use since I have more screen real-estate, and for the price point, it's very hard to beat. 27 inches is a great size for home office. Built-in Speakers: This is the only major downside -- I knew the rear-facing speakers wouldn't sound amazing, but the amplifier circuit for the speaker makes a quiet but noticeable buzzing sound when you're not playing audio through the speakers. Turning the volume all the way to 0% makes the buzzing stop, which is what I do when I'm not actively playing audio. In a louder work environment, even having a fan running in the room, this may not be noticeable. If you plan on using the speakers for just playing some music or something, I'd recommend you try to make little cardboard sound reflectors for behind the monitor that reflect the sound underneath the monitor and back towards you -- this will make it sound less like the speakers are pointed away from you. Overall, a very solid monitor (so far) that checks the boxes that it advertises at a competitive price point. I am quite happy with my purchase. And if you will never use the built-in speakers and make sure to disable the AMD FreeSync, this will probably be a 5-star monitor for you.
